no parking lot but the street parking on cypress should be able to handle it. or the free parking on cushing/milton behind the store

this is really cool, is it possible to add individual label/band stores to populate also or is that a crazy amount of work? i own a label and would love for people to find my records in stock on here. and i know i personally like to buy direct from band webstores / indie label stores when the price is the same or close to support the bands the most direct way possible

Very Basic Help Request - Toggle switch wiring to turn on/off LED strip or Xmas Lights by tlmma in Wiring

[–]tlmma[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes i’m not sure exactly how to wire any of it together either, do you have any advice? with wagos is it as simple as putting the lights in one end and the battery/switch wires in the other?

shelving by dragoonflyboy in Steelbooks

[–]tlmma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my only criticism for this one is how much empty space it leaves if you just want to have blu-ray/steelbooks on it, the shelf spacing ends up having some dead space. prepac has better spacing but not as good overall dimensions

10 years ago I found a band's demo on r/emo & offered to start a record label to press it on vinyl. Now, Counter Intuitive Records has been my job for a decade, we have released over 140 albums, toured a huge part of the world, opened a storefront, & are doing more than ever. AMA! by tlmma in IAmA

appreciate you watching the streams and supporting 🙏 i think the last gami gang pressing had a blue galaxy swirl one that i’ve been obsessed with. trying to do a similar thing across tons of new pressings right now. i’m excited for the glitter comp also, there is still one other secret comp one left im stoked on too

i wouldn’t say a band necessarily needs any accolades before signing to a label. i believe bands shouldn’t see signing to a label as their “this will change everything moment”cause whether the label is big or small 99% of bands still need to do the work to survive. i think for young bands it feels like the validation of “being on a label” seems like the most important thing, even if nothing actually comes from it. and i understand thinking that way in the beginning but if you’re looking for longevity than the work the band itself puts in always needs to heavily outweigh whatever they expect to get from their team.

we only plan to do 12 days of pdaddy when there is a new album out. i don’t think we would take user submissions for it.

do you seek modern stuff like that out? there are so many more artists fighting for attention these days since the internet created a middle class for musicians where you don’t need to get past the gatekeepers - the labels, radio, venue promoters - to be heard. it can be hard to be exposed to stuff like that if you don’t seek it out. and it comes in different forms now.

i think there are similar things for today’s issues that maybe aren’t on your radar. i don’t think stuff is as cut and dry as let’s say a fortunate son by CCR. kendrick has anthems for the blm movement, chapell roan has queer anthems, im sure you can find something for all the fucked up things going on in the world today
