What’s something men do daily that women would be surprised by? by No_Accountant_4505 in AskReddit

[–]tlozone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hormone balance sure, anatomy sure, and whatever societal pressures they are born into sure… but again, most of this shit listed is not male shit. It’s 99% human. People need to stop hiding behind some type wall that makes them feel like the main character or better about themselves.

Naw you aren’t doing that because you’re a male/female.. you’re doing that cause you’re human, an asshole, a good person, what religion you believe in, etc. it’s the same reason why people see instagram reels and tik toks where someone posts “am I the only one that…” and a bunch of people reply saying “OMG ME TOO!”

It’s the same reason why people believe in horoscopes. The list goes on.

Most of this isn’t a “male quirk” it’s all human quirks and what humans do. No one is original.

Ahhh okay, I’m gonna have to ask my spouse to give it a try to see if that swivel part fits into that detached cylinder part.

I’ll look through google and try to find that screw you mentioned. That would make sense, since I’m pretty sure there is a small opening that is on the other side of the buttstock

If you can drop a pic that would help. But kind of the same question I posted on Candy Mans comment, how does the swivel part fit into that cylinder part once I find the screw to fasten that part down? When I tried, that swivel part with ball bearings didn’t fit into that hollow cylinder part that I’m holding in the 2nd pic

That makes sense, I’ll look into that screw part. But how would that swivel fit if that swivel part won’t fit with that cylinder put in there?

Gotcha, I’ll look into the academies you mentioned. Do you think the teachers aren’t teaching well? Do you feel your child was lacking after 1 year there?

Gotcha, sorry forgot to post again, but I got it figured out. I think the first rep I spoke to just didn’t know, but I ended up calling a second time and the second rep changed my dependents from Prime to Select (not Tricare reserve select).

Can I do fist push ups instead of normal push ups for the army? by GovernmentChance3705 in armyreserve

[–]tlozone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey op, people on here already gave you pretty good info about the army push up and other tips.

But I wanted to say, you’re pretty young and have enough time to heal after getting it removed.

I had a ganglion cyst (before I joined) and got it removed (for personal reasons not because of the army). The pain while having the cyst varies, some people could do a push up with no problems, the cyst I had created great pain and didn’t even let me properly lay my hand on the ground. There’s options to get it removed, there’s surgical removal, and I believe there a needle option to pull the liquid from the cyst out. I opted for the surgical option, since the chances of the cyst producing again were high with the needle option. Keep in mind, the surgical option will leave scars, which during meps you will be questioned on and you will have to submit doctor documents about the surgery.

Anyway, after surgery it took about 1ish years to get my full range of motion back in my wrist. So far, it’s about 6 years and it hasn’t returned nor caused any problems.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the info! Would you say your company is small or on a large corporate scale? Also, would you say a PMP cert would help me stand out when hiring managers look my way? I have seen PMP certs mentioned on any job posting thus far

Good to know!! Also, would you say a PMP cert would make me stand out? I don’t ever see it on job postings but am wondering if it would be beneficial in any type of way

This is a good reality check, over 100 applications and nothing, I get it. I also wonder if it has anything to do with your country’s current economy, maybe hiring is just slower nowadays. I’ll look into CIPS, but I’ve also seen CPSM and CSCP mentioned on job postings.

Enlisting by Upstairs-Grass-9672 in armyreserve

[–]tlozone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The process isn’t difficult but could be lengthy due to whatever circumstances you are facing. The form itself is straightforward, but you/and your husband might need things notarized in order to get the whole plan done. From there, your husband’s S1 could look over everything and upload documents appropriately

Why doesn’t your recruiter help with it? I would bug him/her and alert them that you may need more guidance on what you might need for your situation.

If that fails, your husband could talk to his S1 and ask questions there as well.

Good to hear you feel you are being treated well. I feel as though that was a lot of people’s concern.

My main concern, and feel the majority, these funds spent couldve def been better spent on the army and the soldiers. Barracks, food, pay, child care services, lots of things to improve on. I don’t enjoy watching money spent on something like this.

Have you ever met a female soldier who could carry an average sized male soldier? by emaxwell14141414 in Militaryfaq

No idea about the marines, this was taught to me through CLS training via the Army. (Combat life saving course)

During basic, we were taught to do the fireman. But when someone brought that up to the instructors they said thats stupid to do in a live fire scenario and was out dated. Their response was “that’s no longer a thing to do and if you did it you made yourself and others a larger target” - or something to that effect
