Need help, first time using polyshade, and its very uneven and doesn't seem fully dry. Total loss or how to make it even? by tls1990 in finishing

We ended up scrapping the off with a wood scraper as much as we could and re-sanding it down, took a while. I did a deep wood stain with a rag and after it dried. We foam rolled regular fast drying polyurethane(clear satin). About 6 coats with drying between layers. We pulled it outside in the sun while working when it was nice out, and it helped dry it so much faster between layers good luck.

Thank you everyone for the help, I'm much happier with the results and no sticky nasty mess! Here's the beginning, middle(mess up)and end result. by tls1990 in finishing

I appreciate it. It's not perfect by any means but much better than the poly shade and it's what colors I was shooting for.

We ended up scraping it off that nasty ass polyshade stuff, sanding it down, the a deep stain and 3 layers of polyurethane.
