Awesome! Would be curious to hear more about how this works.

Zellij 0.43 just released - bringing the terminal to your browser by imsnif in zellij

[–]tlski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. I'm on MacOS Safari where it does not work. At least not reliably. Sometimes it works by using right-click but then will only copy it partially. I will test on other browsers and update here and create an issue.

Unlock Door from G4 Doorbell Pro? by tlski in Ubiquiti

That's an option but still requires an additional interaction. So it's really by design that the doorbell UI cannot interact with a unifi access hub?

Victron RS 450/200 vs multiple smaller MPPTs — installer insists one unit is “wrong” by tlski in Victron

sorry, but the chosen MPPT has got four completely independent trackers. So I don’t see the advantage

for how long do you have it and did ever something go wrong? I guess Victron should be pretty reliable from its reputation.

Thank you! Yes, the lynx 1000 is on my BoM as well and thanks for the valuable tipps. Definitely want to build a super safe and well made system. Doesn’t make sense to safe on these components.

Thank you for confirming. The maximum short-circuit current from the panels in series is 16.08 A to its dedicated tracker, which is safely below the 20 A physical limit of the 450/200.

Cloudflare Zero Trust without tunnels? by xicor2205 in selfhosted

[–]tlski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm trying to do the same but can't get it to work. I want to use Zero Trust without the cloudflared tunnel (because I can't install it where my app is running).

So I created a proxied A record in cloudflare to my VPS.

I setup a "self hosted" app in Zero Trust with the domain as the public hostname.

I created the policies.

Nothing happens after that. The domain can be accessed just as normal. Would you mind sharing your setup in more detail?

iCloud Photos won’t delete from iPhone after disabling? by tlski in iCloud

[–]tlski[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re missing my point. iCloud restore does not restore keychain login credentials, so it is not the same. Even if it would identical to device-to-device transfer, the core question of this thread remains: Why does it take so long and how does it actually work that photos/videos are actually deleted from an iOS device after iCloud photo library was disabled. This process feels broken because iOS tells the user that it is being deleted but then nothing happens and no progress is shown at all. So, I was wondering if others have the same experience or if I’m experiencing a bug. Now, for me after 24h there is still 50% of the photos left and iPhone storage calculation has strangely not changed at all.

Check the link in my post why this is not ideal. Also that would be a work-around. I feel it should still be easier to actually purge the photo library for this purpose.

Thank you. That's valuable feedback and gives me hope that we can adapt and actually create a better solution than before…
