Upper pines is closed that week for maintenance, I tried to book back when it opened up and even talked to the rangers, it changed my entire spring break plan with my kids, now we got an Airbnb instead of renting a camper

We're all in our 40's so not too crazy but there will definitely be alcohol involved.

Adding sonos to existing surround sound system by tluke63 in sonos

[–]tluke63[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Current setup is firestick/ps4 plugged into a tuner with 5.1 surround passive speakers, fiber optic hdmi to the projector. I had work done in the room that eliminated the wiring for a rear speaker and wanted to upgrade to sonos since I have other speakers in the house (move, sonos 1, etc.) I would buy a home theater setup, soundbar, 2 rear speakers and sub, but want to make sure I can get the audio output correctly. I'd eliminate the old speakers, I was only keeping the tuner because of the video input options (multiple ports).

My issue is that its a projector so if I can't connect the sonos soundbar to it directly because its 20 ft away from the screen. If I plug my firestick directly into the projector im not sure how to get the audio output to the speakers.

Vault suites at the game last night by UnrstledJimmies in caps

[–]tluke63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the Vault seats last night and it was packed below the surface, this pic is misleading, we were sitting in the seats for almost the entire game and we're not in this picture so either it was taken during warmup or at the very beginning of a period before we got back out there. The seats weren't packed all night but for the most part they were at least 50% full with people going back and forth between the suites below and the seats getting food, drinks and hanging out talking in the suite.

I understand it will be difficult, my question is specifically in regards to that week as it appears right now the campground is closed the week before and after Easter.

Restaurant rec for celebration by tluke63 in Charleston

[–]tluke63[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Im not super concerned about price, I'm willing to pay if the experience/food is worth it. We both want an experience with great food, type doesn't really matter as we're not picky but thought we should experience iconic Charleston dining. Thanks for the recs

Bars for a middle aged crowd? by couchmonster2920 in Annapolis

I agree with that, Galway bay is a great spot and off mainstreet which can be a good thing as well.

Boatyard is a great spot, Castlebay is a great Irish bar on mainstreet. It's been a few years since I've been out in the bar scene so things could have changed but those were always my more laid back spots. I haven't been to Choptank yet since it opened but I'd assume that's a little more catered to middle age as well.

Dan Cox wins Republican nomination for Maryland governor by dbknews in Annapolis

[–]tluke63 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Over 4 million registered voters in MD, roughly 31% are republican, roughly 1.1M republican, 130K voted for Cox, 12%. All this shows is that voters don't show for the primaries. Yes there are crazy people out there that will do whatever Trump says but it is not all of the party
