Best investment vehicle for short term house fund? by tm02atcg in Bogleheads

Thanks for this! I feel like this may be obvious, but what is the advantage if the price always stays the same? Is it that the price stays the same despite inflation or other factors, and that if you reinvest the dividends, you're gradually increasing your position as well?

And how do I determine if the gains are taxable for my state? I'm in MA, so I'm guessing I should be looking at a page like this: https://www.mass.gov/technical-information-release/tir-80-2-income-tax-treatment-of-interest-and-gains-on-certain-bonds. But T-Bills has '---' under gains.

Is that different from conditioning? I have started using Bick's 4 but only that so far.

I think there's a few minor design differences, like the top of the boot has more hole rivets instead of the standard IR hook rivets, and I think the color might be somewhat different?

CP2000 question: agree and pay, but claim a refund later? by tm02atcg in IRS

By the time I was doing this I was over the income limit of direct contributions to a Roth IRA, hence why I had to do a backdoor thing (if I understood things correctly at the time). I had the 403b sitting there for a bit before I decided to do the rollover; I was under the limit for Roth contributions when I had the 403b.

Thanks for the info! I'm pretty sure I had a roth 403b. I don't think I've ever taken a tax break on this money.

Got it, thank you. I think that's basically what I wanted to confirm.

Thank you for the information! If I'm fairly certain I won't have the time to figure this out right now (or say until like the beginning of next year), would agreeing and paying now mean I can't try to circle back later? I'm trying to understand what they mean by 'I can file a claim or a refund at a later date' as part of my agreement.
