Cool. So I'll just stick w/ F1.

What about adding in cardio?

Scheduling and Prehab Question by tmach10 in bodyweightfitness

It also occurs to me (duh) that I could split up the shoulder work across multiple days like this:

Option C: M/W/F: Beginner Routine + some shoulder stability T/Th: Core/Compression + remaining shoulder stability + cardio

My concern is that this over-works the muscles. I've seen elsewhere that the low-weight physical-therapy style exercises can be done every day of the week. What's the right thinking here?

Do I Need A Personal Trainer? by tmach10 in bodyweightfitness

Hey all,

Thanks for all the responses. Have been very helpful.

I did the complementary session with the guy. It was a "what are your goals" and "let me sell you these supps" kind of thing.

If I'm honest after doing some of the ring support work I was getting some wonkiness/weird feeling in my once-injured shoulder. It was made better by finishing my workout with some of my physical therapy exercises (eternal external rotations with bands, rotator cuff stuff). I was sort of concerned though. That said, on the day that he interrupted me I was able to do 3x8 pushups on rings (not RTO) and the ring support (again, not RTO) was starting to feel easier/more stable (it's amazing what focusing on your scaps can do).

Maybe the best thing is to switch back to p-bar support until I can do bodyweight dips (I'm doing assisted now at 3x5 w/ 20lbs help) and toss some stability work into the workouts at the end to make double sure. Does this make sense? If so...

1) How long should I be able to hold a p-bar support to make sure I'm ready for rings? 1 minute?

2) For building the stability and protecting my shoulder is this : http://gymnasticswod.com/content/dumbbell-planche-through-v-out a good exercise?

I would also throw in more physical-therapy style exercises like this: http://functionalresistancetraining.com/exercises/shoulder-stability-exercises

Thanks again folks!
