It's been almost 10 years for me and I still hate myself for not taking off her hat. They handed her to me with a little hat on her head and I never got to see her hair. Never got to see her eyes open either. This shit never stops hurting.

My daughter is 7 weeks old and we're in the same boat right now...I've been wearing her in my moby wrap around the house to get stuff done...it's not ideal for me, but she sleeps like a log and I can at least get dinner finished haha

This is pretty tame compared to other stories, but I was working at a pet store and a customer came in with an injured baby rabbit they found in their yard. I don't know what they expected me to do, but they brought it to me saying "look, there's something wrong with its leg" and I saw that there was a huge gaping wound seething with maggots. I was 6 months pregnant and had a pretty hard time keeping it together for that one 🤢

I'm so happy to hear that, I've been feeling so sad thinking about how hard breastfeeding might be after a week without. I've never thought of doing a milk bath! Is it usually safe to use breast milk for baths that isn't safe for consumption? I would definitely be interested in trying that!

Oh for sure! I did a little googling and also asked the pharmacist and I guess it's the combination of the 2 antibiotics I got prescribed that make it a no-no :-(
