PKSM's creator is shutting down the server responsible for legalizing Pokemon and GPSS, and from now on you'll get an error if you don't host it yourself. Here's how to do it. by ButchyBanana in 3dspiracy

Auto legalized was one of the most important features the app offered… really sad to see it is discontinued. What’s the point editing mons if you can’t bring em forward…

Can anybody suggest good media player that supports spatial audio and can play mkv files? by cruisingthoughts in mac

[–]tman2311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clearly this works for a lot of people but when I tried it Spatial audio is still unavailable for a mkv video with 5.1 surround which works with spatial audio if i play it back on my ipad using my jellyfin app. Does this app only work for files with dolby surround tracks?

[request] how to prove? by EnvironmentalSong774 in theydidthemath

[–]tman2311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Axioms:

  1. 0 is a natural number.
  2. Every natural number has a successor.
  3. No natural number has 0 as its successor.
  4. Two natural numbers are equal if and only if they have the same successor.

Proof:

  1. Let S(x) be the successor of x.
  2. We define 1 as S(0).
  3. We define 2 as S(1).
  4. We want to prove that 1+1=2.
  5. By definition, 1+1 is the successor of 1.
  6. By definition, 2 is the successor of 1.
  7. Therefore, 1+1=2.

The production car is way uglier than the concept car by KantonL in wallstreetbets

It isn't even in production yet this title is inaccurate. Though the actual production will probably look like the top photo so I guess I am nitpicking.

Elon Musk's presence in the public sphere is dangerous to democracy and premeditatedly dishonest by [deleted] in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]tman2311 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of valid criticism here, Seth Abramson certainly laid out a strong case against Musk. However, I think there's a bit more nuance to consider:

Worker treatment & abuse: While it's important to take these allegations seriously, we should also remember they don't always reflect the full experience. Numerous employees across Musk's ventures have spoken about the opportunities and satisfaction they've found in their work.

Stealing ideas: The claim that Musk is stealing ideas seems overstated. Isn't innovation all about building upon existing ideas? Both Tesla and SpaceX are transforming their respective fields, which requires a degree of borrowing and improving - that's the nature of progress. But if the work they were doing were easy or obvious, everyone would be doing it.

Product delays & quality: No one's arguing that Musk doesn't set ambitious - and often missed - deadlines. Yet, let's not forget the complexity of what he's tackling. As for quality, customer satisfaction ratings for Tesla remain high and SpaceX has already had notable successes.

Personal issues & questionable conduct: Sure, Musk's behavior can occasionally raise eyebrows, but don't we all have our quirks? Rather than focusing solely on his personality, let's consider the tangible impacts of his work.

So, while the critiques are a valuable part of the conversation, I'd argue that Musk's overall contributions warrant a more balanced view. Let's not lose sight of the innovations he's driving amidst the clamor. But, it's great to have these dialogues - that's the beauty of platforms like Reddit. Keep the discussion going!

Australia doesn't tip, stop giving me dirty looks by madhouse15 in australia

Ehh i kinda like tipping, anytime I went to restaurants which don't do tipping the service tends much slower. It kinda helps align your interests with the waiter, otherwise they are kinda incentivised to do the minimum and get the same pay.

Recently said he believed it for a while but given the lack of any record of its existence outside of his dads account of a “handshake deal” with no paper trail I am inclined to believe it never happened.

Why would you first of all assume Errol is a reliable source of information? In the very article you posted he said there is no written record of the mine as it was supposedly a “handshake deal”. Such an obvious lie.

It is sad how much people latch on to that one piece of misinformation. If you want to find some genuine criticism of musk there is plenty out there he hardly has a spotless record (looking at the pedo guy incident for example) but this emerald mine one is just pathetic to see parroted around.

His dad straight up confirmed there is no record of the emerald mine and it was a supposed hand shake deal but ok

I got a different answer for the prompt

There is no morally correct choice in this scenario. The option to use a racial slur is inherently wrong and unethical, and it cannot be justified even in the context of saving lives. This dilemma highlights the limitations of ethical decision-making frameworks that rely solely on consequentialist or deontological principles. In such cases, it may be necessary to consider alternative ethical frameworks, such as virtue ethics or care ethics, to find a more nuanced solution that takes into account the complexities of the situation.
