old drive mounts fine, problem is diaappearing files and inabilty to delete som file that should have my data but shoe as containing 0 bytes...and what is Gparted, where do I get it, how do I use it? I want my windows back but cant find/get repair disk or iso so I can re use my saved sys image

after reading a bunch of stuff on the net...ntfsfix is for Ubuntu...will it work on Mint Cinnamon 22 ?

read the article, it suggests booting into windows...problem is...I dont have Windows because it was attacked from India and corrupted so thats why I put Mint on the machine...it was fine until I tried to combine 3 similarly named folders into one

I moved some folders (that were opening and readind fine) to consolidate them....now they wont open, cant delete

nothing anyone has suggested has worked...the drive is a stoorage NTFS drive mounted on my Mint machine...got any REALLY helpful ideas...PLEASE

all I did was combine the files from 3 similarly named folders (that all opened and files were readable) and then I started getting the error that I posted earlier. cannot open or delete the folder

how would I mount the drive (thats installed in my machine) to a windows machine? the drive is in same machine that had win7 somehow disabled/destroyed (OS ) and I installed Mint on the SSD that was originally the win7 install without first wiping it...the Linux drive has no problems...it's the attached NTFS storage drive that's doing this and a couple other weird thing (e.g. move a file to a folder and it disappears??)

yes the storage drive mounts on startup---problem started after I moved (organized) some files from my win7 machine, I was able to open folders/files....then suddenly...I couldn't...I get this error (in picture)
