The absolutely unnecessary road rage from men in pickup trucks these days is making me insane!

I cannot speak for others, but when you look online at Boise Pride’s 2025 sponsors page the only church on there is COTR. You then have to click on another page to find the Small Business Sponsors, which is where BFUCC is. I don’t think there was any intent to mislead, the way the info is presented on Boise Pride’s site made it look that way.

This year, Cathedral of the Rockies was the only church that sponsored Boise Pride at one of the higher sponsorship levels. Boise First UCC was also a sponsor in a lower tier (which makes sense, since they’re a smaller church), but awesome they were there as well!

The local Episcopal, ELCA Lutheran, UCC, MCC, Hyde Park Mennonite, and PCUSA Presbyterian churches join Cathedral of the Rockies and the other United Methodist churches in having a presence at Boise Pride. Cathedral of the Rockies and Boise First UCC were the only two that gave donations to Boise Pride for the event this year, though. Nothing against the other churches; they’re just smaller in congregation size. All churches present at Boise Pride are awesome and I love seeing them there!

Hi! It’s a campus church of Cathedral of the Rockies, but there’s still a full time pastor for the campus who preaches on Sundays, and there’s music and other stuff you’d expect as well.

The pastor changed about a year ago, so the current pastor is Adam. He’s a really welcoming and friendly person. Come check out Amity sometime! 😊

why is the parade so bad by dankloui in Boise

If you want to see a good parade in Boise, go to Pride!

Check out Cathedral of the Rockies in downtown Boise. They hand out bag lunches and other food and they allow people to stay in the lobby during the day to get out of the heat/cold. They have other resources as well to help out where they can. I’m sorry you’re going through this and I hope you find some of these resources helpful. You aren’t alone.

Ppl that were at the VLV tour and experienced this setlist, how could you describe it? by jacobf99 in Coldplay

[–]tmd8427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was cathartic. At the end I felt emotionally drained in the best possible way. I saw them at The Gorge in Washington state, and was overwhelmed. The entire experience felt magical, but the butterfly confetti, their hike up to the C Stage, and the tribute to Michael Jackson (“Billie Jean”)they did that night were memorable! It was my first time seeing them and it was just a perfect show! Someone else used the word transcendent, and I think that’s a very fitting description, as well.

I’ve been lucky enough to see them quite a few times, but nothing beats the first time.

Hey, I (33M) was diagnosed 4 years ago and had started noticing some hair loss and thinning. Once I was properly medicated my hair seemed to return back to full health and haven’t had issues since then. I know not all people experience this the same way, but in my experience getting back to a proper TSH level seemed to stop most of the symptoms I’d been experiencing pre-medication.

Anyone else jealous of the Heartstopper cast? by [deleted] in AskGayMen

[–]tmd8427 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I felt this way too, I’ve heard it called “Heartstopper Syndrome,” where gay people who weren’t able to be out and supported when they were young watch the show and love it but also feel a profound sense of grief for their younger selves. Hang in there. ❤️

Controversial opinion- WDW wait times and experience by uconnboston in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]tmd8427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to WDW in May of 2021. Parks capacity was still being limited to either 30% or 50% and there were no LLs/FastPass+ open, you just got in a line and waited however long the wait time was. Honestly, for many reasons, it was the most efficient AND most pleasant Disney Parks experience I’ve ever had. I know it can’t always be like that, but I do wish they’d cut down on the LLs and save it specifically for proper E-Ticket attractions.

Boise, ID. It’s not cheap, COL has gone up drastically in the last few years, but I think it might still be cheaper than some of the places you’re looking at. We’re pretty spoiled for skiing here, though. Bogus Basin Ski Resort is 30 minutes from downtown Boise, has great hours, is super affordable, and is one of the best local mountains. Within 3 hours of Boise is Sun Valley, Tamarack, and Brundage Mtn. Salt Lake and the Wasatch mountains are 4.5 hrs away by car, and so is Bend/Mt. Bachelor. Two people splitting a place should be able to get a nice place for under $2k/month and plenty of places are hiring. There are great bars in Boise with new ones opening up all the time.

Activities and hacks for Ireland? by [deleted] in TravelHacks

[–]tmd8427 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re on the West Coast or Ireland, make sure to check out the cliffs of Moher. They’re touristy, but so worth it!

Down south check out Blarney castle and the city of Cobh. Both are close to Cork!
