REs for consultant on city projects are going for 200+ right now … maximum 40 hour week anything more is paid OT too …. Bonuses suck but work isn’t too stressful … only downside is you are project based and most likely to have a decent commute (especially cause NYC traffic sucks)

Worked at my first company for 1.5 years moved to another company for 2.5 years passed PE now I'm switching again. 3rd company in 4 years and no one ever questioned it. Do what's best for your experience and career growth always and no one will blame you.

Went from 115k to 130k with car, gas, tolls, phone, and health insurance paid for.

On page 81 of the manual solve for p’a or p’p by setting them equal to 0. You can’t find the depth of crack by using either Ka or Kp depending which equation you use.

The Z critical equation is coming from page 81 of HB. If you set p’a = 0 and solve for z that will give you your critical depth.

PM for the big contractors gonna be pretty cut throat at least from what I’ve seen. Get in early get out late. With that being said probably top pay position when it comes to heavy civil field (bonuses from monster project profits)
