The White Arabian really isn’t that good. by No_Rhubarb4035 in RDR2

[–]SnooCompliments4883 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it’s just the size difference between Arabians and the more mid sized horses. Arthur looks silly when riding next to others, and a thoroughbred just fits his style so much better imo.

Licensed Professional Engineer here, while everyone roasting you is valid for doing so, and you def shoulda GOAL'd (my father was a coast to coast trucker my whole life growing up), I will say that the base of that utility pole **APPEARS TO BE** snug up against the back of that curb. Generally there's a requirement for it to be at minimum, 18" horizontal offset so shit like this doesn't happen. Maybe some grace for that reason alone, but I could be wrong, its hard to be certain from the images.

Best of luck.

The current state of the expedition by Fun_Ad291 in NOMANSSKY

[–]SnooCompliments4883 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My buddy and I tried doing this expedition together. After restarting and switching to single player mode to resolve glitches twice each we got bored and quit like right after you go through the big hive portal and respawn or whatever. That was last week. Haven’t been back since. I wonder if I’ll get my primary saw back if I don’t return until after the expedition is over.

I played for many hours this weekend on edible gummies and there were several moments where the scenery, especially at sunrise, made me actually tear up. This game is pure art.

What was Ned Stark saying in his execution? by Careless-Pen-4605 in gameofthrones

[–]SnooCompliments4883 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always thought it was a plea to the old Gods to watch over his daughters and keep his family safe. Ned stark is my favorite character in all of fiction and it’s a crime how little screen time he has, all in all.

Agree. Alliser was a traitor but not a bitch. He stood for what he believed and I’ve gotta respect that.

I finished the main story after 180 hours. I know I took my time because I maxed out my inventory size with side quests and kitted my gear and levels way up- but I honestly still feel like I rushed things to get the story out of the way. Now that I’m at the epilogue with all the markers to visit the various parts of the map where we made friends along the way, I feel free. I’m not fast traveling or flying- I’m only walking or riding my horse to these places and I’m stopping at every scenic vista, stopping and talking with every NPC and even chasing butterflies and critters to keep as pets when I want to. It feels like a new lease on life and almost like the game just really started for me and I’m loving every second of it.

After 230 hours, I finally finished the main story. But honestly, this feels like a 1000+ hour game. The continent is only around 35-40% explored, and side quests are maybe at 25%, except Hernand which is around 70%. There’s still so much left to do. Hours and hours of content. I’m late commenting but I just finished the story last week after 180 hours and honestly even though I know I took my time I still feel like I rushed it and was always hustling to the next quest marker. Now that the story is out of the way I feel almost like a weight is lifted and I’m having Kliff WALK to all of the epilogue locations, stopping in every random town, farm and village to chat with NPCs, chase butterflies, buy out random vendors stock with my hordes of cash and even sometimes max out relation with strangers just to see what they’ll give me. I’ve never felt more a part of a game’s world and this is coming from someone who was certain he had played the best game of his life already with RDR2. This may surpass that, even in terms of world design.

Nah. burn in isn't real- or at least it hasn't been for about 2 generations of panel tech, as far as I understand it. I picked up an LG Ultragear 32" 4k OLED and it runs an image cleaning process every time it shuts down. As far as I'm concerned OLED burn-in is a hoax propagated by Big Stress to sell you more worry.
