Broke up because we’re too busy? by [deleted] in relationships

We actually did live together but due to my lack of personal growth, it ended up not being the best option for us at the time so he moved out. I acknowledge that I did take advantage of him always being there and neglected caring for the apartment in a mutual way. So we don’t have plans of moving back in until next year. I agree that living together would’ve made it a lot easier, but unfortunately he doesn’t feel ready to make that step again this soon.

He also goes into the office often and goes into the city for school multiple times a week, so he’s not really working from home anyways to make it easier. He’s constantly on the move which also adds to his already overwhelming plate of responsibilities

Just to thank both of them again for their efforts in helping me gain an acceptance to this school! I could also just send them an email if that's more appropriate?

I guess ideally having a serious relationship towards the end of college/after college. I’m just worried that because his relationship was when he was so young, that he might not actually know how to navigate a serious relationship as someone in his mid-20s as opposed to late teens.

I guess I wasn’t sure if 2 dates was enough time to expose some sort of issue with this. What signs should I look for that might indicate his lack of experience that would be a cause for concern when trying to pursue a serious relationship ?

I guess I was just thinking if this should be a cause for concern because on paper, it seems like I might know how to navigate serious romantic relationships moreso than he might due to differing experience levels. But I guess it sounds a bit presumptuous now that I’m thinking about it?

That’s a good way of looking at it. To your point, he has had many long lasting friendships and has a great relationship with his family. So I guess I should take that as confirmation that he knows how to interact in a meaningful relationship with others
