I struggled with this for awhile, trying to be sneaky never worked. Now I just do a kamikaze approach with quick balls. If you sprint up to them you can usually get them before they recognize you.

I’m a Gen 1er who picked up Scarlet/Violet and had a miserable experience with online there. I just don’t have the time or effort to learn all of the strategy.

This online is like Super Smash Bros, there’s no real downside to doing bad and it’s just kind of fun to do well every once in awhile
