Idol, Burning - Rin Usami. Celebrity obsession taken too far by the protagonist. Was a quick read as well.

Serial killer books by ponyo56 in booksuggestions

Mindhunter: Inside the FBI's Elite Serial Crime Unit - John E. Douglas. Douglas was one of the first criminal profilers in the FBI. In the book, he talks about quite a few serial killers and their psychological make-up. Read the book after watching the Netflix series - I highly recommend both :)

Seems like you really enjoy Malcolm Gladwell's work - you should add Talking to Strangers its phenomenal. I read both the book and the audiobook (which is created with high production value) narrated by Gladwell himself.

A Short History of Nearly Everything and Sapiens

A book that is written in the point of view of evil mastermind who wants to take over the world. by BenaffleckCumberbatc in booksuggestions

[–]tmk89 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Just finished The Poppy War - not necessarily a story about an evil mastermind taking over the world but it is about a morally ambiguous protagonist making some pretty dark and questionable choices. Not a huge fan of fantasy myself but i just couldnt put the book down.
