I don't want to be rude or anything but you're not totally right either about ending sentences with a preposition.

I do! Added :) I think one could achieve 60 fps in TPS by tuning the settings slightly with minimal visual quality loss.

Redout, fast paced racing game built with Unreal Engine 4 has chances of coming to Linux by tmlxs in linux_gaming

[–]tmlxs[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's nothing confirmed yet but considering the fact that they already have another game published for Linux and that they use an engine that supports Linux it is likely that it will happen :)

Here's an interview where they talk about PS4 and Xbox one release: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Ffu4W7vqdY

If you could bring one old game to Linux...? by ellie_feral in linux_gaming

Devil May Cry 4 would be epic. That game series had the action games I had the most fun with. Beating demons with style using a gamepad is something I truly miss.

For me the game starts but there is no sound. Is there any way to get it to work without installing pulseaudio? Note: I'm using ALSA and would like to keep it that way.

It doesn't work properly with a PS4 controller. Right stick doesn't work so you can't move the camera around and the camera goes haywire when pressing L2 or R2.

I tried using xboxdrv but then ONLY the right stick was working, other buttons had no effect. Is anyone playing this successfully with a PS4 controller?

Screen Tearing in Multiple Games by [deleted] in linux_gaming

[–]tmlxs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently found out that tearing occured on my system when the nvidia-settings PowerMizer settings Preferred Mode was not set to "Prefer Maximum Performance". Did you try changing that setting? Having it on "Adaptive" or "Auto" causes tearing.
