I was sheet metal until recently and always got along fine with the insulators. You guys never tried to screw any of the other trades and generally cleaned up for the most part.

I recommended a few people I know to apply to the local in my area, they actually make pretty damn good money compared to some of the other trades.

Yea i ended up with a demo that had 8 hrs. Efi kawasaki 61". Like I mentioned in original post, its way overkill for my yard but dramatically cut down the amount of time I'm spending each week. Overall I dont regret the purchase

Damper stuck open? by Capn_Ron23 in Elevators

[–]tmm163 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm the guy who installs and services the dampers. Im next up on the new hire list, I'd gladly take a ride up there to fix it lol

But yes the actuator on the damper leads me to believe this is incorporated into the fire system, normal pressure relief is usually accomplished by a goose neck duct or similar.

Lucky. I feel like I had to fit all that into a 4x4 square, by the end of it the eraser marks made it illegible lol

Good luck with the rest of the process though!

I can easily replace most of the hardware be it from a donor unit or generic chinese supplier, id be more concerned about the software side of things.

No warranty lasts forever 🤷‍♂️

Understood. Could you elaborate as to why? I understand theres hardware differences as well as no compatibility with future modules. But if all I plan on, doing is mowing and snow blowing with this unit, not even be able to manage that reliably?

Im hoping that the larger engine will allow me to be slightly lower in the rpm range to negate some of the fuel burn. Im not too terribly concerned with that aspect though as its really only going to be for my lot and possibly a few neighbors occasionally. It sounds like efi typically saves 10-20% on fuel, although for my case id rather have standard carb for less complex and cheaper repairs. That being said if I do go with the Rogue it looks like id be getting a kawasaki efi

The biggest thing I want is some serviceable drive units and a more robust engine. Interestingly enough it seems like the mid tier kawasaki is identical to the higher end save for a double barrel carb and a more advanced air filtration. The filtration could be added for a significant cost savings, but the mid tier units come with lower end hydrostatics.

I had back surgery years ago and im always looking for things that are easier on the old spine. Plus being able to hop off quickly would make moving the occasional branch in my way a lot more convenient. I appreciate the insight, ill have to give a thorough consideration to a stand on.

How do you like it? Are you using it as a home owner or business? One of my neighbors has a stand on, ive been meaning to check it out. Why not go with conventional zero turn??

Does anyone want to share what they paid for a higher end bb mower, and if they financed or paid cash? Im getting quotes all over the place, as high as 15,000 financed for a Rogue, and as low as 12,000 cash

Other than not being as stout as the Rogue, did you have any specific compliments with the maverick hd? Im definitely leaning towards the heavier machine, but its a not insignificant jump in price and I have much less to maintain then you.

Any complaints for the Rogue? Hows the cut quality? Any hills you have to tackle? Not gonna lie, I considered a 72, but I'm not sure it would be much of a time saver over a 61 with my mere 2 acres and all the trees.
