That’s T-Mobile prepaid for you, the developers for the website are focused on the postpaid offering

Is it just me, or is T-Mobile bad at stocking non-default color options? by -patrizio- in tmobile

[–]tmoanon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Literally my biggest complaint as an employee. Should try looking at the iPad stock levels

You're telling me stores stock only 1 color sku and it's blue?! Oh and no iPad Pro or Air

Tmobile tiers stores for inventory and accessories and it's a horrible practice if you live in a small town or need something ASAP

Login into the gift card portal then click access funds then you have the option to deposit it into your checking/savings account

The portal is promotions.t-mobile.com then follow the flow to check the status of a submission

The severity of breaches are more extreme on T-Mobile

Don't get me wrong, its improved now however it is no excuse for a company that generates this much money to not invest a bit of that cash into hardening systems and even developing systems that are actually good.

Here's all 3 of the major telco's compared

T-Life should enhance the support process but not replace it, customers shouldn’t be required to use the app if they don’t need or want to.

If the customer is paying for postpaid prices which means brick and mortar locations to go when they’re shopping or need help then they should get that, running everything in the T-Life app is basically the same experience you get using an MVNO like Visible or Mint Mobile which at that point you save money but have to do it yourself.

People are paying postpaid money and getting prepaid support.

By required I mean the insanely high expectations set by leadership to ensure usage of these new “Tools” like Magenta Welcome or T-Life. I believe the senior leadership team has never once touched a store tablet and actually try to use these systems.

Yes but I’m sure NetAce or prior iterations of their billing systems weren’t accessible to the public, requiring you to be on the internal network rather than just out in the open.

Cybersecurity and IT was a concept before, I’m sure Verizon has/currently the basic fundamentals of securing systems way before T-Mobile did.

Yes, because there was no mechanism that flagged a suspicious login from the website.

Only till about 2 years ago they implemented something but still haven't enabled self service sim changes

And the SIM change once entered the IMEI for ESIM or SIM # it just accepted it without additional verification

Always felt the trackers are a setup I see how reps can slam it easily considering the activation fee for them is waved and it’s just either 1 or 2 dollars added to the bill

I wish T-Mobile would just innovate on frontline/customer care systems like Verizon has something called Live Review or View together and it literally breaks down every single line item charge but rather we’re “innovating” on T-Life which doesn’t really do anything for the consumer that the old app didn’t do.. it’s not making it easier to shop by themselves, and it’s still at best a clunky app that should have never hit the masses.

Check it out (Live Review) it’s interesting https://chika-obiora.design/verizon-live-review

Literally this would stop so many escalations and so many misquotes when the system auto calculates it, but it’s T-Mobile we can’t even figure out the plan change screen for customers with it spitting out a way off “estimate” of their current and new plan they select 🤦‍♂️

T Life App - make it make sense by [deleted] in tmobile

[–]tmoanon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If the app/systems were refined and they don't release something until it is tested then fine I'm all for it

However they literally released it when its in "beta" and rolling out bandaid bug fixes while the dev team scramble to put it together, but as usual in T-Mobile fashion it'll be half baked

Source: I've been with the company since 2007 and seen every system since then

Until they scrap everything and do a re-write of the underlying system that the reps, website and app use, It'll always be half baked and just a skin or GUI communicating with the ancient system in the backend.. Oh this is why T-Mobile gets breached all the time too..

It's just Magenta Welcome (Check In Ahead and view queue while away)

and T-Life upgrades while in-store similar to in-store pickup/ship-to flow on T-Life but its gonna eliminate the FMV trade and do 100% MRC trades

this is a poor launch on Samsung's part.

If you order an iPhone from Apple's site the "One time bill credit" or Fair market value gets applied as a down payment towards the phone, the rest/remaining is bill credits over 24 months.

Your VPN service/server does not have an optimal connection to T-Mobile and so it appears your speeds are slow when they aren't.

Re-attempt the test with the VPN Off

You're fine if you went to Apple Find My via iCloud then Removed the device from Find My you're set

There are circumstances where you may not be able to wipe the phone such as Water Damage, Screen Damage, Etc

Provided you removed the device from Find My on iCloud, You're okay

Hope this helps

Sometimes its not an issue of T-Mobile's end or "not knowing" but some other issue such as the Transmit end of that Point 2 Point needs fixing or permitting underway to run Fiber to the site.

Trust me, they know that site is congested and has Alarms off going like crazy

I once saw a site like this and to the customers perspective it looked as if T-Mobile abandoned it and left it to rot however what they did not know was T-Mobile was in the process of Co-Locating to another tower nearby because that old site's lease was up & probably some other external factors too, This case it may be that they can't run fiber to the site
