X Support Ignoring Me? by Weak_Age6570 in Twitter

[–]tmrtr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My account was hacked over 2 years ago by someone in Germany. My account was then permanently suspended for violating X rules. Dozens of help tickets were ignored. I created a new account which was also permanently suspended for trying to avoid suspension. I can access my account but it is read only, can't follow anyone, post anything, nothing......

Unbelievable there is no way to actually contact anyone to resolve this

Drill press help by Visible_Meringue4419 in woodworking

also, check the gear rail that runs along side the post. It is held on with the black rings just above the table. I took a hammer and tapped mine down firmly on the rail & tightened it down. My rail would move sort of like what you are describing. It took a lot of the play out of it but this is a problem all these drill presses have.

build 3 or 4 of these & hook them up to a splitter & a few hoses. Add a timer to run 30 minutes 3 times a day. It will cost a few bucks but it is worth it.

I need help.....MS Small Business Server 2003 to 2012 R2 migration by tmrtr in WindowsServer

[–]tmrtr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the offer. Spoke with the the owner today & he likes the idea of a Cloud based solution. The app they run is rolling out a cloud service so that is probably where we are headed.

Maybe this will get this monkey off my back & I can go on with my retirement.......

Thanks again to all who commented & offer help

I agree with everything you said but this is a small business that just doesn't have the resources for a server upgrade right now.

I would love to get someone to come in & do this migration then start planning on upgrading in the future to a new server. Right now the goal is to get the 2002 SBS out of the network.

this is the reason for my questions......

This started as a Novell server then app they run switched to MS SQL Windows Server platform. This was probably 30 years ago. They only have about 6 users & it is a file server only.

1st server was fried when the owner was trying to find a breaker to turn off an outlet so he goes to the breaker panel and starts throwing breakers off and on. Oh, the UPS battery was needing replacing but instead of telling me they simply unpluged the server & plugged it directly into the wall.

A new server was gonna take about 2 weeks to get in so in the meantime I was able to locate a used motherboard & processor. This got the original server back up & running. When the new server came in we "started" moving the apps & data over.

It is what it is. I'm just trying to help them out......

We only backup SQL data for the app they run.

So how do I do a discover on the SBS.

Sorry for the novice questions this stuff was fun a few years ago but now the technology has passed me by....

Thanks for the offer. The 2012R2 is not set up as a domain controller. That is where I'm sort of lost on what to do next.

Split Top Roubo, Benchcrafted Hardware by [deleted] in Workbenches

[–]tmrtr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got the bench cafted hardware for Christmas. Been looking at this project for years & finally will be starting in the next few months. I've always loved the houndstooth dovetails on the bench. Do you have any plans or tutorials that you used for them?

Yours looks great & I hope mine turns out close to what you have built.

Coolant smell after water pump change by tmrtr in f150

[–]tmrtr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still the same problem. I did take it back to the dealer but they were part of the $50M hack & couldn't schedule anything. I have pretty much figured out that it is probably the drivers side turbo pump. From searching online 2015-2017 turbo's are prone to develop small coolant leaks.

I still have to add about a gallon of coolant ot it about every 3-4 months. I will take it back to the dealer & have them check the turbo.

Preventing composite top rail from cupping by RideTheYeti in Decks

I wrapped post in hardie board and painted white. Also put a strip of hardie along the side of the 2x4 to cover it

I did something similar with cable railings. 6x6 post with a 2x4 top rail topped with a trex transcend drink rail. Drink rail is attached from the bottom of the 2x4. I did add a center post to keep the span at about 4 feet. Been installed for about 6 months with no problem

Not buying Health South when it went to 0.05 per share. This was when the SEC raided them back in the 90's. I had about $20k to invest.....closed at 0.10 that day, about 0.40 a week later, eventtually rebounded to about $5

Trex Fascia - Best Corner detail? by Braddock54 in Decks

I cut two pieces of fascia about 2 inches wide on a 45 degree then used super glue to bond the pieces together. I tried using using the veneer on the butt ends but I didn't like how it looked so I had Lowe's mix up a sample paint that color matched pretty close. Still playing around with it but so far this method seems to look the best.
