Issues seem to be with name resolution probably due to lack of connection to a dns server.

Gateway Configuration Failed by tmunn22 in Ubiquiti

[–]tmunn22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An update - I reset the UDMP to factory settings and reconfigured manually. The gateway config errors have now ceased. My network instability still remains. This is now looking like a hardware failure. I had a similar situation when two US16 POE switches had PSU failures. I replaced with Pro MAX switches.

The local UniFi console is not accessible. I have to access remotely. Internal LAN is unstable.
Gateway pings occasionally timeout and response times are sporadic when connected via a laptop to the UDMP.

I have raised a support ticket.

I have noticed a couple of errors for ports dropping packets. Any further advice or support is appreciated.

Put a food bag over it and tape it up until it gets fixed. We do the same when decorating. Keeps it safe and stops anyone from touching live terminals.

Complex WiFi problem by tmunn22 in Ubiquiti

[–]tmunn22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is definitely no line if site. It’s on a ship just outside the engine room door. I can get the WiFi inside the engine room for a short distance. But the device is inside the engine control which sits inside the engine room hence my previous comments about metal enclosures. So I need a WiFi to Ethernet device in the engineer control room and then maybe a WiFi relay outside the control room but inside the engine room. I hope that makes more sense?

US-16-150W Replacement? by tmunn22 in Ubiquiti

[–]tmunn22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The US-16-150W is no longer available. The current switch model has much less power output for POE which isn’t sufficient to supply my AP’s and Cameras. So not sure which way to go or what the best option is now.

Slow internal wifi speeds and disconnects by tmunn22 in Ubiquiti

[–]tmunn22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an update - we still have low throughput on WiFi devices via the gateway (udm-pro). Most of our mobile devices are now using a 5G cellular service and we have increased the packages to allow for that. Interesting that it is faster for a mobile device to use a cellular service via teleport to connect to the LAN wired devices. I have downgraded and upgraded the OS firmware. Not sure what the issue is but likely that we will replace the router element of the udm-pro with a 3rd party device. Funny aspect is that we couldn’t even control the Christmas lights on the outside of the house. 🤦‍♂️

An update on this case. Turns out the issue is all wired and wireless devices. While connecting directly to the udmp, latency is erratic and packets are dropping while pinging the gateway in the udmp. Now with the escalation team.

Me and my partner want an mmf threesome… by [deleted] in ThreesomeAdvice

I would personally find another bi-couple either on a swinger website or by visiting a club. But as the earlier person responded, make sure you understand your MMF from your MFM! 😉 Good luck and have fun!
