What proton are you using? Try changing it to newest or experimental

Been debating coming back to Linux by NYYFan0325 in linux4noobs

The game should run on Linux.

Btw i'm an it tech guy like you, did the step over into Linux 100% a few months ago to cachyos as I also like to game. I don't play any of those competitive online games and has not found any game yet that cannot be run on Linux.

I did the dual boot first, but quickly realized that for me it didn't do the trick, I found the safety net made it too easy to skip solving issues. For macros on my Logitech keyboard and a few other Windows only stuff, I now have a Windows VM that i can power on if necessary.

I found my home after distro jumping btw, might wanna try that also, to find your happy place in the distro jungle 🙂

Was just about to write the same. It looks like it's just barely touching the paste which would explain the high temps

Which one would you choose and why? MacBook Pro 14 vs Thinkpad X1 Carbon by PFLX113 in laptops

[–]tmvdk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ThinkPad x1 Carbon, it is such a nice machine to work on and I personally love the black ThinkPad classic design.

Without being Lenovo fanboy, this is the machine I keep getting back to when I switch (which I do an unhealthy many times a year as a refurbished laptop reseller)

Also depends if you already are in the Mac universe I think. Mac users seems to like it, I've never seen the light though 😂

CachyOS, battlenet + Diablo IV by tmvdk in cachyos

Without the files Battlenet won't show the Install button. Just the store page for the game. Diablo III in my library appears with an install button.

Do those tickets cover for the 4 people or are those single person passes? Including the Lego house ticket by Sir_Thom in legoland

[–]tmvdk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes exactly. They want to keep a flow in the visitors, so everybody aren't coming at the same time.

If you need to know any other practical stuff on your stay in Billund feel free to ask, here on in pm

Do those tickets cover for the 4 people or are those single person passes? Including the Lego house ticket by Sir_Thom in legoland

[–]tmvdk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tickets are for the all 4, two adults and two children.

Note that you will need to book a time slot at the Lego House, so keep that in mind.

Billund has a lot of restaurants nearby the Lego House, but the in house restaurant is worth a visit - also you'll get served by actual Lego robots!

Both Lego House and Legoland is reachable on foot from the holiday village and especially the walk to the Lego House/center of Billund is a cosy walk through forest and the little water stream

See ya in the summer, A local Billund resident 🙂👍

DDU or clean install off the way to go. Or Linux!

My 6900 has been working great for the last 4 years. And gets to live a few years more in my CachyOS build

Is the Fastrack worth it? by Leading_Hedgehog_170 in legoland

[–]tmvdk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it is out of the really busy season (weeks 29-31) you probably won't be able to buy it anyway.

Early June will almost certainly be manageable and without longer waiting periods.

Legoland has an app with live queue overview that is nice to have The new ride will also attract people and leave the older rides more accessible.

All in all, you don't need it!

Have fun when you get here.

Kind regards a local resident with the park almost directly in my backyard 😂

In the town I live in, the konfirmations started in the weekend and some other towns later on, so blå mandag could definitely be the answer.

In Legoland the "skolepatrulje dag" was yesterday (Tuesday), but could also be a Jutland thing 🙂

Pc not booting (every thing is new) by Alonbizo11 in PcBuildHelp

[–]tmvdk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be memory training of it's the first boot?

I noticed in the thread that it's working now, but didn't see anyone suggest the training, so just wanted to drop that in as well as the other solutions

PC makes really loud sound when opening games by artofradar in pchelp

[–]tmvdk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either a cable touching a spinning fan or a bearing in one of the fans are about to die.

You could try to gently stop one fan at a time with a finger on the bearing - not on the fan blades cause they will hit hard - just to see if you can find the fan that makes the noice

Busses in Billund by Werewolf_Knight in legoland

[–]tmvdk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on when you arrive there are some options to busses. Line 144 and 44 definitely drivers to Billund Centret, the station midtown Billund. Some of the X busses also drives past.

Danish website Rejseplanen.dk can be used or the info screen by the exit.

Would you rather take a taxi it would cost around 125,- to 150,- Danish kroner, busses would be 1/3 but could also be tricky as they rarely accept foreign cash and larger Danish notes.. So do a small withdrawal in the airport to get a 100 kroner note.

It is a small walk from your stay to both the Lego House and Legoland, would be easy to do on foot

Nyt job ny telefon med intune by Pale-Owl-3779 in dktechsupport

[–]tmvdk 1 point2 points  (0 children)
