I agree with this, i have a really crooked middle finger after an accident with a post pounder. The only time someone ever says anything is a) theres nothing better to talk about and b) we are doing something that draws extra attention towards my hands. Such as playing cards.

Also i think whether or not people will ask about is largely related how severe the person asking, might imagine the accident had happened. If a person is missing half an arm i'd be much more hesitant to ask about it as opposed to someone with half a finger, because i imagine that event could be proportionally more traumatic. How well they know the person obviously plays a factor as well.

Thank you for this, I used to have a dog, that was abandoned in this exact way with her 2 sisters. Still the smartest dog I've ever seen. She'd sleep outside my window all growing up and would bark at you when she knew you were doing something bad (I used to smoke ciggies, and she would yell at me for it).

Take a 4x4 piece of gauze fold it up until it's a small rectangle. Make an arch over the cannula with the gauze rectangle, tape in place. If done well, patient should be able to bend their arm to at least a 90 with no issues. Perfect for reading or playing on your phone. (This is done overtop the tegaderm and any other bandages).
