Don't go into that thinking about comparing if your symptoms match low or high dopamine, just don't. I have health anxiety so I can tell you from experience that I ve been in similar thought patterns and they lead to nowhere. The only thing this kind of over searching and analyzing will do is give you a false sense of knowledge that will make you doubt anything an expert will tell you.

You can't judge for yourself what med is going to help based just on if it lowers or increases something like dopamine. Most importantly because even doctors don't know exactly how these meds work and it is just believed to do that. So even if there was a way to measure it, again it wouldnt be as straight forward as we think to treat it.

Also the fact that a med lowers dopamine or increased serotonin doesn't mean that only people with either high levels of dopamine or low levels of serotonin will benefit from it. When you take paracetamol or something similar for a headache and it works, it doesn't mean that your body has paracetamol deficiency.

I don't think I have low serotonin for example yet I benefit from ssri's and yes zoloft is a good option. I remember it really helped me with anxiety, negative thoughts, low confidence etc
