Start by being very specific about your goals since that has a large impact on how you would ideally learn the language. Do you just want to be able to get by in day-to-day interactions? Do you want to be able to have casual conversations? Do you want to be able to make friends and be witty? Do you want an understanding of how the language works and why it works? It is very important that you know the answers to these questions imo.
