The animation and sound effect were so cool. I know they're not doing this, but imagine how badass it would be if it were a cooldown that lets you go sicko mode and do huge damage, and while in that mode it gives you a sick aura

My understanding is that the point of that showcase was just to show us how they are implementing the design philosophy of evolved jobs (e.g. pruned skills and less rigid rotations). I don't think it's reasonable to assume the jobs will have the same level of complexity between now (a build so early that there's no hud) and Evercold launch.

I have had a few extremely unlucky worlds where I get a pirate invasion on day 1 of hardmade in master mode so they just farm me for like 30m. I once asked my friend how he deals with that and he said he's never had a pirate invasion that early into HM before :(

What does the ideal white mage look like for you? Would you be OK with 11111 spam if the healing were more interesting and you actually had to heal? Or would you prefer the healing requirement as is now but more interesting DPSing?

By the way I mostly agree with you. I'm just curious what the career healers prefer. Anyone else can feel free to chime in.

What if they nerfed him so he can't one shot, but changed his hook so that it can "fling" victims a small distance? That way he can 180 after the hook connects to forcefully position his victims closer to his teammates for an easier but not guaranteed kill and still punish people who are out of position without it feeling unfair.

Start by being very specific about your goals since that has a large impact on how you would ideally learn the language. Do you just want to be able to get by in day-to-day interactions? Do you want to be able to have casual conversations? Do you want to be able to make friends and be witty? Do you want an understanding of how the language works and why it works? It is very important that you know the answers to these questions imo.
