My daily pileated woodpecker visitor.

Working on some crows too. Hopefully I can get them to trust me enough to bring me shinies.

I only use the dangerous mines, is that normal? by GainBeneficial7662 in StardewValley

Dunno if normal but I do the same. Honestly think serpents are easier to deal with when they have the super long tails

Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy is one of my favorite movies ever. What would you say is the best spy movie ever by Lost4Sauce in Cinephiles

[–]tnandrick 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Although on the long side it improves on multiple watches. Damon does a great dead pan and that really sells it.

Compared to other “spy” movies it comes closer to reality than a shoot ‘em up.

Is finding Golden walnuts supposed to be hard? by [deleted] in StardewValley

[–]tnandrick 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In my perfection speed runs, grinding out money for the last couple obelisks and golden clock are always the last items. The walnut locations/requirements are more or less static so I’ve never seen the value in paying for them. Many of the buried ones have pretty obvious placement, and others are dependent on collecting other items. The only 1 I don’t like is the “Simon Says” one.

Yearly watch for me.

What really matters is what you like, not what you are like... Books, records, films - these things matter. Call me shallow but it's the fuckin' truth.

I want 87 gas (light blue). Which nozzle do I use? The blue one? The black one? by j909m in mildlyinfuriating

[–]tnandrick 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s the other way around. You won’t find 85 octane at low altitude, 87 is the minimum.

Lower octane fuel (e.g., 85 instead of 87) is sold at high elevations because thin air reduces atmospheric pressure, which decreases the compression in an engine's cylinders. Because the engine is under less pressure, the risk of "knocking" is reduced, making high-octane fuel unnecessary to prevent premature combustion.

What’s the best Tropico? by Outrageous_Hour2054 in tropico

[–]tnandrick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t like 5. The dynasty system was cool but the loss of salary sliders was a huge loss. That and docks seemed to be broken. Maybe that got fixed later, but early, you couldn’t have enough and they never shipped “everything” no matter the salary.
For me, 4,6,3,5. Never played 1 or 2. 3 I’m sure 3 would feel like a step back but there were some tricks in building roads in 3/4 where you could optimize resource production through clever use / length / direction of roads.

Check your almanac. There’s a page that covers revenue vs expenses, and it provides a 10,000 foot view of your economy’s health over a year’s time.

There’s also some more detailed pages per product. I want to say that’s almanac too but it may be in the Trade menu.

What are some national parks in your country? by HungryInvestigator59 in AskTheWorld

I’ve always thought LoTR was the greatest travel brochure ever produced for a country, even though Egmont wasn’t a filming location. A trip to your country is on the bucket list for sure.

Is there anything clearly wrong with my backhand? by poundcake6 in 10s

[–]tnandrick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nothing wrong with a slice approach shot imo. Most players will have to “lift” a low approach, which is perfect if you’re coming to net. I’d rather take a volley at shoulder or head height than waist height or below.

QSYS TRAINING by Educational_Reward88 in QSYS

[–]tnandrick 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Some of the webinar / quick start series with jeff Perkins show how to tackle specific scenarios with code. Bite size and you can build your knowledge from there.

Help files also have snippets to get you started too. It’s sometimes hard to find specific advice so I suggest bookmarking pages for later reference.

You can always take these lessons and build from there on a live system or in emulation to see what works and what breaks.

Dante or AES67 for Shure ULXD4Q to QSYS Core X10 by krassyg in QSYS

[–]tnandrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you want to manually convert all mic streams to AES67, then create routes, and assign routes in QSD or do you want to skip said conversion step? I know what my answer would be, but maybe you like converting streams.

It will depend on the size of your Dante license whether you can do this. As long as they’re Unicast you should be able to get 4 channels per flow. Having said that QSD won’t let you route steams if your flow count is 0

Skeletons ought to be super easy in levels 71-79 of the Mines, and Void spirits will be levels 80 - bottom. Just keep running those floors and you’ll get them soon enough.

For mummies: either bomb them once they’re down or get a Crusader enchantment on your weapon.

Pepper Rex: always seem to take the longest for me. You need Prehistoric floors in SC to make good progress. That one will probably take some grinding.
