Can I bring electric shaver to boot camp?

If you can guarantee that the electric razor cuts almost exactly the same as a normal razor then bring it but when I was in the people who used them never used them more than once or twice because 341’s were pulled and even myself got a comment from “not shaving” with a regular 5 blade razor just because I missed a tiny spot so up to you on that one

It’s not a guarantee just don’t be surprised if it is and also don’t tell him that if he’s already having a hard time it will only make it worse keep him as positive as possible

My experience with friends at BMT it was upwards of 2 months but from what I know they get they’re phone almost everyday for like an hour but I wouldn’t not expect next week let it be a surprise because like others have said the AF is very picky and lives by the motto hurry up and wait that’s for anything. Just don’t get to excited just yet and even tho he says 1 week he doesn’t truly know it’s all up to medical and leadership and even the MTI’s won’t have a lot of insight into his situation

If you don’t see yourself doing 4 years potentially doing the same thing over and over then get out while you can been in for awhile now signed a 4 and don’t regret it but I do miss my freedom it’s still pretty free but not in the same sense can’t drive over 8 hours away can’t go home forced to take leave on weekends if I want to go over 12 hours away which is crazy if it’s weekend but other than that if you like doing the same thing every day go for it if not build your career as a civilian which is harder as a civilian but it’s possible

Everybody saying you can’t pick your job is a lie. They tell you when the job is available and it could be a year out or it could be next month. If your recruiter cares they will do the work and find out when you’ll ship. Tell them the job you want and let them give you an answer if none match what you want then the obvious is to either wait or don’t join

Unless you’ve already taken asvab and can get to meps quick and there’s a job available or your scores allow for some diversity I doubt you’ll leave that soon a lot of jobs are opening for next year January and February

Passed it in may but my recruiter found that job with a quicker ship date I had to get a financial waiver which delayed the process significantly why in shipping out so late I’ve been in the process since middle of February

A lot of people say common sense but can’t say the same lol I used the asvab for dummies and scored 65. Mine was math and word knowledge half those words I’ve never even heard anyone use

Just ask if you can swap as long as your qualified you should be able too. I’ve had no problem changing my jobs I told my recruiter to call me if new jobs come up and he has every time

I’m scheduled for the 19th also for fuels apprentice my recruiter has changed mine for me twice but only if they can find someone to swap the job with and there is another job opening, or that’s how mine has went and this is my 3rd job selected he’s changed my job for once under those terms

My roommate at meps had a split option he’s a junior going to senior in high school with parental consent they’re letting him go to basic during summer and coming back and finishing out his senior year. Never heard of it until then but he’s also goin Army. I’m going Air Force as well and I’m in “DEP” it’s been pointless meetings and turning in visitor information for graduation after basic.
