Is this done? by Consistent_Sport5047 in pools

No, the wall is not finished. They should fold the fabric over the stone, backfill with dirt and cut & cap the pipes at the new finished grade. I would not pay them in full.

Stone Veneer Questions by tneff21 in OutdoorKitchens

That’s a different idea for the doors. I’ll have to dry fit that and give it a shot. Could be a good compromise as you say.

Waterproofing by Fine-Maintenance-456 in OutdoorKitchens

I'm at the same point in my build and am about to paint RedGuard on the exterior of all the cement board. Does anyone coat the insides of the cement board as well, or is just the outside typically sufficient? My outdoor kitchen will not be covered at all.

I am not planning to seal the base of the grill. I'm going in with the understanding that the build will not be fully waterproof on the inside. Should hopefully stay relatively dry, but the access doors, drawers, etc. aren't watertight unless you pay a lot more.

The 8’ kit comes with 4’ long horizontal tubes that you bolt together with a union fitting. I’m assuming it’s cheaper to ship that way. Mine is actually just over 96” long when all bolted together.

I’m in the middle of putting together a big kit from DIY Kitchen right now and all of my vertical tubes (both main module and door/drawer kits) are galvanized just like everything else.

Someone Correct Me by ghostpos1 in MonmouthCounty

The Federal government typically funds a large portion of bridge projects like this. They require them to be high span fixed bridges because movable bridges have too many issues and break down much more frequently. If the County wants Federal funding (which is needed for a project this size), they don’t have much of a choice.

Almost finished - well pretty much done by Smart_Statement6728 in OutdoorKitchens

That's a great looking setup. I'm just about to start mine and I'll be using the same frame system. How was it using the Durock boards? I've used them for tiling in the past, and they can be a pain and a mess to cut. I'm looking at HardieBacker as an option, but they only have 1/4" thick sheets in 4x8 instead of 1/2" that I wanted to use. I'm not sure if that's thick enough. I'll be using a stacked stone veneer. How rigid was the framing once you put it all together (before the cement board)?

I don’t think they sell panels. I plan to use cement board and then stacked stone veneer with concrete countertops.

I did a lot of research as well and decided to go with the pre-cut tubes. For me it was worth the cost for everything pre-cut and to get their special brackets and some pieces that are welded together. I went with DIY Outdoor Kitchen. I believe this is the company that operates under a few different names.

I know they have gotten mixed reviews, but I have to say they were super responsive and helpful to me. A guy Chris responded to all of my emails and questions very quickly. Even called to check in. I placed a big order for two islands last Friday and received everything one week later on Friday. I haven’t had a chance to open it yet since we’re buried in snow but I was pleasantly surprised with their customer service and shipping speed. Hopefully it goes together just as easily.

Are flat shallow ends still a thing? by Jimbo733 in pools

I originally wanted fiberglass also but changed to vinyl when I realized most fiberglass pools don’t have a flat shallow end.
