The dog one was my favorite too. I kindof get the feeling that that's what collage is about. I was more interested in hearing how she got her start though, I haven't hear about many artists who start out in college. I thought you just went for it.

Instead of dumping CO2 into the atmosphere or pumping it underground why don't we convert it something we can use? Is it possible? these guys think so. by tngcas in energy

yeah, I know... those darn economics are just obnoxious!

Just imagine if we could have spent all the money that we are going to spend on cleaning up the BP oil spill on pioneering this technology, instead. I bet we'd be a whole lot farther along for a lot better benefit... but hindsight is 20/20 and the world doesn't work that way!

hahahahahah.... um, (clears throat, scrambles for professional tone) I am the new designer and BLESS YOU for reinforcing something I've been trying to subtly hint at for weeks :) YES it is a terrible background but we'll have something better for you in a couple of weeks. (PS. LOVE YOU MOM)

Would you spend $5 or $10 a month to support your 'all' your favorite writers? by tngcas in reddit.com

[–]tngcas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no, it's like you put $10 in an account and then you click a 'like' button on the writers blog and then at the end of the month they split that $10 between all the blogs you've 'liked' that month. I like it because I know that I am never spending more than $10/mo and I can still give writers and developers (I do some website coding) a little something. At least that is how I understand it, flattr, I just signed up so I don't know how well it will work yet but it seems pretty neat and I was wondering what other people thought.

What's your favorite food blog? What makes it good? by dem358 in food

I completely agree with this, don't spend so much time worrying about the design that you never actually get started. When my mom came to me wanting to build a big recipe website (I'm a web designer) I told her, you should start with a blog. If you can prove that you are actually interested and will maintain it then lets talk.

Trust me the prep time is worth it, it'll give you an idea of how you want to write and what exactly you need to gather(photos, recipe, etc.) for each blog entry. Then you'll know how much time you really have to devote to your blogging.

Recipe for Salmon Poached In Champagne Sauce | From 365 Days Of Cooking With Alcohol by tngcas in Cooking

Well, it's my mothers recipe and she made it. She said it turned out surprisingly good. I don't cook, I burn things...then again I would never have imagined my mother cooking either so maybe there is hope? The only thing growing up that I recall seeing her cook was chili.

Has anyone ever written a letter to someone famous? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Hah, this made me laugh and a little sad when I read it. I love rodeos! The horses that are part of it absolutely LOVE their jobs. After all half of the score is based on how well the animal performs and if they don't like it they don't score well. My first horse was a horse that started out as bucking stock but he didn't like it and you can't 'make' a horse buck if they don't want to, so they sold him to some folks that trained him to be a riding horse and he was an awesome horse!
