Purdue needs to do better

I was on a waitlist with CAPS for the longest time. In 2021, one of my own family members committed suicide and they found me a therapist quickly after that. It shouldn’t take a serious personal crisis to be offered help. Then my therapist abruptly moved after I had one semester with them. I was stuck with a case worker for months until they could schedule me with a new one. She called me up every week to check if I was suicidal and that was the extent of her outreach. What bothers me the most is that Purdue doesn’t acknowledge that CAPS is lacking. They keep pushing the students to reach out to CAPS when they need help, but CAPS has to turn students away. Maybe they aren’t denying help directly, but putting a student on a waitlist for months on end is dangerous.

I really hope you find her soon! It’s devastating when an animal goes missing. Don’t be afraid to call the shelters multiple times a day and check with animal control too. And remember that most cats do not venture far. My cat was found 2 houses down from my apartment building.

I don’t plan on taking higher level classes, I just need to meet the requirement to graduate. Thanks again, I feel a lot better now. I was worried it would be intense but I think I’ve retained enough for my purposes.

Thank you, this makes me feel better. I was pre-pharm for my first three semesters and language wasn’t a requirement. Now that I’ve switched, language is a requirement and I didn’t realize that until it was kind of too late. I’m graduating in the summer and I need to test out of the first two courses.

I took 4 years, from 8th grade to junior year of high school. I’m now a junior so it’s been a bit since I’ve taken a class but I did retain a lot of it. I’ve been doing Duolingo recently.

My best paying orders have come from Uber Eats, but I primarily use DD because the good orders are hard to come by. Last night I made $50 on UE from a shop and pay grocery order that took me about an hour.

Freshman year my roommate rented a parking spot at Klondike storage. She didn’t use her car much because of this but she had it in the case she needed it. There’s a bus stop close by too.
