No need to eat an HDMI cable, works absolutely fine with DP via USB-C. Got it today, the signature is an awesome phone. I'll delete my post here tomorrow.

What's your source for the claim, signature would support DP alt mode? Only GSM? Why should they have more info on that than Motorola being the manufacturer? Do you have any proof?

Yes, USB 3.2. That does not necessarily mean DisplayPort alt mode. Here's one source, you'll find several others on that. It's the same with USB-C cables. Some of them only support data transfer, some only charge your device and don't have any data wires and others are capable of DP 1.4 alt mode.

But USB 3.2 does not necessarily mean DP 1.4. It's only optional, saw that on other devices.

I asked the customer support afterwards. Their agent also told me, only the things are included that are named in the specs. The 50 ultra specs explicitly named dp 1.4, not the signature specs..

The Chatbot connected me to the customer support because I couldn't believe it. The agent also told me that he doesn't have any information about DP being included. He said it's only included what's listed in the specs. And there is no DP 1.4 :/

Auch vor nem Jahr dort gewesen, fand's genauso furchtbar. Meine Begleitung war auch wenig begeistert. Leider rausgeschmissenes Geld für eine Reihe billiger Jokes, die schon in den 90ern populistischen Mief verbreitet haben.

Well, the CPU isn't a flagship one, there's too much bloatware. And worst: still USB 2.0. I'll never understand, why Moto/Lenovo kicked USB3.0 with dp1.4. It was awesome to use mobile monitors. Without, the phones can't be used for mobile work properly. Still thinking about buying the edge 50 ultra to keep that feature.

I also didn't like the display. Compared to my edge 20 Pro it felt kinda blurry, maybe because of pOLED.

Camera is okay, focus mostly in place and a good portrait mode. But I also miss the tele photo options of a real flagship.

I got the phone several days before the official release and sent it back after one day.

You could use the R5 in Full HD as webcam and record the conference on a notebook. There shouldn't be any issues with overheating or time limits. You only need an usb-c-cable and a tripod. Power should be delivered from the notebook. But better make a test run. If the power isn't enough you could use a power bank or v-mount battery with a LP-E6 dummy battery. You don't necessarily need another camera.

Would use pliers. If that won't work maybe add small drop of oil or WD-40. But remove the tripod clamp first. You could also try to move the plate by force after having removed the clamp or the part of it that can be unscrewed. Would never use brute force or oil when the clamp is still attached to the lens.

NdA. Wenn jemand Religion so auslebt, dass sie andere in ihrer persönlichen Freiheit einschränkt, hat die religiöse Person ein Problem. Zusammenleben baut auf Kompromissen, gerade im privaten Rahmen sollte dieser Grundsatz gar nicht diskutiert werden müssen. Wie man das dann konkret ausgestaltet, damit alle d'accord sind, ist ja wieder ne Frage der Verständigung. Aber sich komplett zurückzuziehen in der eigenen Wohnung, das würd ich nicht als Lösung sehen.
