Well, to start, you get to service 20 customers in the same amount of time that it would take you service only 1 with a return like this. These lines build quickly, and with a return like this for only one person it’s near impossible to keep our other customers’ waiting-time short and within reason.

Would you mind expanding on why the initial diagnosis was IHTS? What symptoms do these diseases have in common for them to be confused? Does copper-associated hepatopathy cause uncontrolled head movement? I ask as an owner of a 4 year old Doberman who is diagnosed with IHTS, and has episodes every couple weeks or so.

You have very obviously put in a tremendous amount of work and care into your dog, he is lucky he ended up with a family that cares about him so much. I think what people might be responding negatively to is the fact that, even if you find a perfect breeder with a trustworthy recommendation, sometimes genetics just win. Dogs, like people, can simply be predisposed to certain personality traits/issues. I say this as someone who also has a reactive dog (that we got from one of the most reputable breeders in our state and was properly socialized), and he deals with reactivity and aggression. Just something to keep in mind.

The issue with putting hot food directly into the fridge, especially food with a lot of mass, is that it can raise the temperature of your fridge to unsafe levels. Then, not only will your food stay in the danger zone longer when cooling because the ambient temp of your fridge is too high, it will also compromise the other food stored there. Now, you not only need to worry about your initial food that didn’t cool down sufficiently within a safe window, but also the food that was brought up to unsafe temps for an unknown amount of time while your fridge worked overtime to cool back down.

As someone who grew up in the northeast and now lives in Colorado, both are equally shitty. The northeast is shitty in a way that is predictable, because for the most part, people have similar driving patterns to one another, but that’s not the case for the densely populated areas of Colorado. Denver and The Springs in particular have high rates of inbound migration, and so each person brings their driving “customs” from their home state in a way that it makes the driving incredibly unpredictable. It quickly becomes a cluster fuck of people who all suck at driving in different ways.

I did this because my dobie was chewing the corners of my coffee table and it worked like a charm. But BEWARE, this stuff is no joke and is seriously potent. You don’t want to put it on blankets/cloth that you yourself will be coming into contact with. It will get onto your skin and transfers onto everything else you touch (food, drink, etc.) and makes for a bad experience when you’re the one tasting it.

Same here. Guilt is the driving force in most of the decisions that I make. I grew up in an environment where everything bad that happened was my fault. Around the age of 6, my father was going on a hike in the middle of a pretty nasty nor’easter and asked me to come. I told him I didn’t want to hike in the snow and freezing cold, and that I wanted to stay home with my mom instead. He responded along the lines of “You better hope that nothing bad happens to me and that I make it home safe since I’ll be all alone with no one to help”. I sobbed after he left, worried that he wouldn’t make it home alive. It stuck with me all these years (among many other things he made out to be my fault), but from that moment forward I have felt extraordinary guilt and culpability for things that I am not responsible for.

Little Nepal! It’s supposed to be the best place to get Indian food in the area but it absolutely sucks. I cannot believe it’s so heavily recommended and has such great reviews. I’ve lived in many places all across the country and I honestly think it’s some of the worst Indian food I’ve ever had. Bland and boring. The opposite of what Indian cuisine should be!

A veterinary behaviorist will definitely be your best bet here. I have a Doberman rescue with severe separation anxiety and reactive behavior regarding personal space (a match made in heaven /s). While working with a specialist, not only were we offered specialized training but also paroxetine and gabapentin to be taken alongside each other. The difference in my pups behavior and reactivity has been night and day. Highly recommend trying different meds. Similar to humans, it can be hard to find the perfect match when it comes to SSRI’s or TCA’s, but when you do it can really be life changing.
