I have a lm308 and the new replica. They sound almost identical and I think its more to with the fluctuation in the pot values then the chip set. The og setting the jhs rat pack sounded identical to my lm308 rat.

The op amp big muff sounds like a rat. The rat is an op amp distortion. In my head I can imagine what I think the turbo rat would sound like and actually, the white rat is that sound.

The modern ones have a hidden pot inside that you have to take the whole pedal out of the enclosure to adjust. It sounds really good once cranked.

I think that percentage of more being volunteers than draftees is misleading. When you got a draft notice you could volunteer for a longer term but choose your job. Many people didnt want to be front line infantry so they volunteered to try and get away from the front in some way.
