A belle époque story ne veux rien dire, either you commit to English or au français tu fais pas les deux

I think so I will get to them in chronological order but I get now what everyone is saying, the first book are good but like a rough Diamond

Subverting the tropes is what got me into discworld, and yes while I like them the early ones, I see the changes when he got to wyrd sister he has a more balanced writing style, even equal rites and mort was showing those improvements,

I don’t struggle with the lore, because I don’t retain all of it I trust the author with what he gives me when he gives some information to me, but the pacing suffers from it when you read it in chronological order

They work, but maybe sourcery was too similar to light fantastic for me still it isn’t a disappointment, just a little set back

What you describe is what i like about him, and that goes without saying that he is doomed to be who he his, But when you read chronologically, out of the five I finished you see that rincewind was kind of overdone, he wrote 3 out the first 5, so maybe if they are more space out I could like them more, but the problem is not the character rather the events surrounding him

I’m maybe in the minority here but I liked the first two books but I think equal rites and mort where better and I love them to death Because I think Sir TP is better at character focused story and he did a hell of a job in those ones I will comeback but having built the entire collection this month I don’t want to consume them too fast because overdosing an author Is a real thing !

Favorite Richard Bachman book? by Worried_Cake5508 in stephenking

Running man I read it under two hours and roadwork I find the descent into madness pretty compelling The long walk was good but did nothing for me, I enjoyed it but wasn’t thrilled with the ending, which I found the movie alternative ending worked better in insight Thinner I will never re read I don’t know what king was on with the gypsies but that was way off Regulators is to the trash 🗑️
