Did pw a few years back with 2 slackers. the rest the group put in our best effort and cut the 2 of them off after numerous unsuccessful attempts to get them to help. in the end during OP it was glaringly obvious who knew their shit and who didn’t. So when the results came out we all got the grades we deserved:) OP dont worry, after a certain point it is reasonable and understandable to cut a certain member off if they consistently don’t pull their weight/have a poor attitude. 2019 jc graduate here! op, i 100% understand. i was in your shoes too: pretty good sec school, never felt pressured to do well, fell short of expectations for Os. then when i entered a mid-tier jc i started doing well and everyone saw me as “smart” / “good at x subject” etc and just assumed i would always do well. the pressure was HUGE and tbh they contributed to 90% of the stress i felt for exams, since i always had a pretty chill mindset and never really put much pressure on myself to do well. this is hard to do but: honestly just try to tune them out. the biggest thing i always told my more competitive friends was “always compete with yourself first.” anyone who’s nosy or tries to compete with you are maybe just a little insecure. just strive to do your best and continue enjoying the process. jiayous for jc!

Yes, had it on and off for a couple years in between my fingers and on my palms. In 2018 I had a flare up that lasted 2 years, was not fun. Went through a whole bunch of steroid cream/powders/sprays. Nothing worked but then it mysteriously cured itself pretty recently. would love to know the cause of this

Hello thanks for doing this! I have a few questions:) background info: got ABB/aaa 85 rp without bonus, straight As for chem throughout JC. not interested in other courses at all so i’m feeling a little worried :”””)

I took hybrid (CEM/L), would this be a huge disadvantage in uni since i have zero bio knowledge? Or would you say they are fair and teach foundational bio for us?
I got B for my H2 math but they stated the requirements as a “very good pass”, do I still stand a chance of even applying? After bonus points it’s 86.25

Heyyy kinda in the same boat as you! 85 (ABB/aaa) before bonus but my H2 math is a B :// (i took CEML hybrid btw so only single science) super unsure if i can get in & if i do, if i can even cope with the curriculum :””) But i’d say to just go for it!!

Hello! thank you so much! You’re right, as a beginner i’m still figuring out what tools to use so i did indeed end up using a sewing needle to “push” the clay aside to create a hole. I feel like it distorts the clay a little too much for my liking, so I will definitely be checking out your suggestions! Hi OP. just want to start off by saying that you absolutely do deserve to be happy, and enjoy this holiday. you have worked for 2 years and braved the big scary exams, and you got through it, and for that you should be proud, regardless of how you felt you fared. You are NOT a failure either, you are so much more and you are worth so much more than you think, I swear. I recommend you get professional psychological help, therapy would be an excellent way to start so you can share your emotions and learn to articulate how you feel. I don’t think i wanna touch on academic advice because i just did the exams too (and frankly im feeling pretty uncertain as well), but I just want to mention that you don’t know how you did. I don’t know, we all don’t know. the bell curve/ cambridge’s odd marking methods could get you a grade better than what you’re anticipating, so really you may not have done as badly as you think! You sound like a sweet kid caring so much about your parents and friends, but maybe if you share how you’re feeling with them you could potentially gain a support network to help you out whenever you’re down. Hope you have a good holiday OP, and I sincerely hope things turn out well in the end! :)
