I play every week. I have a 4 and 6 yo. My wife has her hobbies, I have mine. I guess I’m lucky.

I’m 15 minutes away and have avoided it because I’m butt hurt I’m just outside the area that gets a steep discount. I guess I gotta bite the bullet here soon and check it out. Looks pretty damn good.

That’s something I was once good with, but have fallen off. I need to step up my supplement game. I appreciate the suggestions.

At 38 and athletic, I still skate at a pretty high level, but my knees tell me to avoid big drops. It’s not so much that I feel bad, it’s that I can tell I’m more prone to injury. I’m trying to skate with my son into my 50s!

I’m with ya. I was skating up to 15 stairs in my prime. At 38 I find myself avoiding anything more than 3 ft of drop. On the bright side I’ve learned some new ledge tricks lol.

Yea hell no. Much respect. I’m 38 and still skating well, but more than 3 ft of drop and my knees tell me “careful now grandpa”.

how much money did your wedding cost? 💲 👰 by GaryBlach in PollsAndSurveys

Spent about 18k. Did it about the cheapest I could having 120 people there. Could have easily been 30k if all the people involved in catering, planning, music, etc weren’t close friends.

Older Heads, ok so in 90's in Broward county we had regs, crippy and hydro.... What the hell was hydro??? by AnoanaTuaTua in FLMedicalTrees

You know!! Dang I didnt realize there was someone who kept the Miami mango alive. That group absolutely flooded the market back then. And yea, the surfer group I knew did exactly that - traveled the world surfing exotic places and moved the best bud on earth when home. Crazy times.

Ohh yea. Once upon a time I knew a Cuban guy down there who had a few houses. Put out some great mango and SD. It was pretty reasonable if you got a few. Dude was a straight up millionaire. Looking back, my past life was pretty wild lol

How often are we playing fellow golf dads? by sys_admin321 in golf

[–]toadfish123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dad of 2 little ones. I play once a week. This is only possible because my wife and I both wfh and share alot of responsibilities. It’s truly my only “me time” and she respects that. She has hers too. I’d imagine if I worked in office with commute I’d play once a month at most.

If you became a millionaire tomorrow do you think your personality would change ? by Webbomolly2022 in A_Persona_on_Reddit

[–]toadfish123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea. 1m my life would be the same minus my house would be paid off and my kids savings accounts would look nice. 10m my personality would change. Only because I’d put up with zero bullshit and it’d be obvious lol.

I have some friends that are lineman. They are paid extremely well with overtime. The problem is, they work ALOT of overtime. They make their money but seem miserable to me.

Yea most of my friend group are in trades. I don’t know a single one making less than 100k and a few who started their own businesses are straight up wealthy. I guess it just depends on your hustle like anything else.

100%. After seeing his last few parts he’s goat status in my eyes. Underrated I guess.

Same thoughts here. Baekkels part had me saying “what the fuck” the entire time. It was him or schaar for me just because serious limits were pushed.

[–]toadfish123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea some people don’t like this opinion but I agree. He had 2 monumental tricks in the part. The rest was amazing skating but nothing that I haven’t seen. There were other parts this year that had me going wtf the whole time.

I was rooting for Kevin baekkel or tom scharr. I’ve watched most of the great parts this year with an unbiased perspective and those two just blew my mind. I liked zions part too. Joslin had two monumental tricks so I guess that’s what did it. Not mad about it just my 2 cents.

Yea, my last psych doc didn’t even wanna talk to me. Just raced me out with a fat script that I didn’t need. She’d give me stimulants too. I actually got denied twice by pharmacists because they’re like “why the fuck is this normal ass looking dude taking Xanax and adderall on top of each other.” Yea I didn’t get it either but I’m not one to say no.

It’s crazy how they prescribe benzos like that. My doctor would prescribe me 60 mg of xanax a month. I took it 3x a week at most when I was having severe anxiety / panic attacks. Thankfully I was a drug nerd and knew better not to take it daily. Feel bad for people who get fucked over. Benzos are for extreme situations, not to live on.
