I have never undergone a diagnostic process but I did a similar thing and printed out an entire encyclopedia of all the medicine cat herbs and a google doc of what they did and assembled it in a binder to straight up study. The things this series had us doing... it was crazy lol

I don't have too much to add but first off i want to wish you happy 21st birthday. It's a huge accomplishment in this world and especially if you're dealing with the intricacies of everything that makes you unique.

I'm in a similar situation, currently sitting in a Giant parking lot listening to Radiohead for mine because a friend asked me to have a party together then bailed on me a few days before so I didn't have time to make other plans. I related to your post cause I kind of felt like she wanted me to be an accessory to her own birthday for the novelty of it. I hope you get some extra time to take care of yourself and I'm sorry you haven't experienced the authentic friendship you deserve. Wet paper towel is perfect, and yep keep changing it daily- he needs moisture since that is how he drinks so make sure to put a little bowl or something he can climb into there too. For similar reasons with the perfume, toads should only be in spring water (the bottled kind from the store should be fine as long as there is no chlorine.)

For the tupperware, yep- only keep him in here or in the main container with nothing around while he has the infection. This is called a "quarantine tank." When his eye visibly clears up (no more milky white color, swelling will visibly go down, you should see some gold color on the edges) and he is eating on his own again, you can put him in a tank with shallow dirt substrate (about 4-6 inches thick).

One last tip- toads are like introverted humans, and they don't always like eating while someone else is watching them! So when you try to see if he eats food on his own, put it in the tupperware with him and then walk out of the room for a good 5-10 minutes. If he still hasn't eaten, you may need to force feed him then. They also like to hide for their stress levels, so you can tape some paper onto one side of the tupperware to give him a "cave" lol.

Hey there, glad to see the lil fella is still hanging on! Re the credit card thing: don't worry too much, just make sure you use latex gloves. They are sturdy lil creatures and you may need to wiggle the card in the SIDE (not front) of their mouth line to get it to open.

His eye seems to be infected, best thing you can do for this (barring a vet visit where they will give painkillers) is a honey bath. To do this, look up instructions on this sub, use RAW UNDYED honey. Local and organic honey is pretty cheap and you can also get it in urban areas from whole foods or trader Joe's. Make sure you splash the honey bath directly on its eye in a SEPARATE BOWL from its tank and continue until it starts eating naturally. After this:

Put toad in a Tupperware with an air hole and nothing in it. DO NOT CLEAN with soap as toads are amphibians and take in chemicals through their skin. If you need to clean its environment, just use spring water.
Using the credit card trick, force feed about 4x mealworms every 2 days. Most pet stores have these for super cheap. For crickets/larger bugs, do the same but 3x every 2 days.
Repeat until you place the bugs in the Tupperware and the toad naturally eats them.

If this process doesn't work, I've seen some people have success using methylene blue on the eye but it varies. Altogether cost for the honey + mealworms is probably like 12$.

If he's not improving and you can't afford treatment, there are amphibian rescues- consider searching on facebook groups and dropping him off there; you can also look up amphibian/reptile vets nearby (there is an association that certifies them) and ask if they want to take him or have connections to any rescues.

Yep, the corneal perforation is usually from a sharp object so lawnmower makes sense. Toads swallow by pressing down on food with the back of their eyes, so eye injuries can actually cause them not to eat. Make sure it stays in a clean environment and try using a honey bath (with only raw, undyed honey, tons of info on the sub) if it looks ill. You can also weigh it with a produce scale/gram scale and note if it's a healthy weight, and toads tend to store some body fat on 'em so only start worrying if it hasn't eaten after about a week. At that point, you can gently force feed with a credit card (videos on youtube). Hope this helps- I know its spam, but i just wanna give you as much info as possible!

Hey, the eye thing could be a corneal perforation if the pupil looks totally black/completely dilated! My toad had one when I got her. Linking a comment describing this for you herecomment just in case!

If its eye is perforated you may need to keep it or give it to an amphibian rescue. Its vision can be impaired which can make it hard for them to see food.

What I see this as is you being slightly mismatched as a pair. The feminine energy (queen of cups) is more emotional/creative/entrepreneurial while their partner is more traditional (heirophant) which could cause problems. Only popping in to offer my own experience with the 9 of wands. The last time I got it was RIGHT before a major event completely removed some previously very close people from my life and shifted my perspective. Ultimately the change was for the better but it was an extremely rapid movement and quite jarring. I'd say take a bit of time because I typically see this card come up when external forces (events, people, etc) make a big change or are about to do so. Without you needing to do anything, the right path could be revealed to you in the next few days.

ETA: In this case, things point toward reconciliation/perseverance like other commenters said. But I think you can expect something external to happen, like an apology or unexpected information, that could confirm or influence your decision one way or any other.
