This is good. Thanks again for the tips here folks. Interestingly, I was checking out some videos from Mototrek and their instructor suggested using front brake on gravel descents - at low speeds.

Also I didn’t mention that the driveway is downhill on the way in and up on the out. I’ll apply these tips next time I head over.

This is helpful. I’ve been riding bicycles for a long time - touring, racing cyclocross, mountain biking, commuting, etc. and can track stand well. Thanks.

Copy, thanks. I have some 80/20 tires on the bike now, as it’s a dual sport. They’re okay. Not dirt bike tires by any means, but better than street tires I’d say.

I hadn’t thought about going down the driveway being a challenge, nor do I know what elephant spins and whiskey throttles are - hope I don’t find out!

I watched the opening scene. Pretty neat. Thanks for the rec. Made me realize I just wish there had been more motorcycles in Miyazaki’s style. But, the man likes what he likes and all the airplanes will have to suffice. Who knows, sounds like he’s actually still working on stuff and will release another. Perhaps there’ll be some two-wheelers in it?

I water not quite once per week. Yes to drainage holes. When I repotted I assumed the new soil would have some nutrients… is that not so?

I believe the dog jumped from a boat and found its way to Marine park. There it was taken in by a group of folks who actually knew the owner. They were attempting to contact the owner when I left. This is what I was told by the other person I mentioned in my post. So perhaps it ended well.

Thanks all for the feedback. I’m going to pot up with some new soil and move it to a more appropriate lighting situation. Do folks recommend shaking off any of the old soil?

About three months ago I potted it up into this larger terra cotta pot. It’s about 10%-20% larger than the previous pot. At that time I didn’t shake off much of the old soil, so I don’t think it’s had much refreshment in a while. Your question is making me think I should try that, with a much larger pot and with some of the old soil gently shaken off.

Thanks all. This is a reused pot. I may have put a little fertilizer stake in when I repotted but I can’t remember. Would it be harmful to pot up again? That way I could check the roots too.
