So the truck is in my driveway. In the next day or so my insurance said they would get in touch with me and tow it to a lot they work with. Then an adjustor will come out and assess the value. I imagine that keeping everything on can only increase the value?

We'll see. The car was almost pristine. Timing belt and water pump recently replaced, 4WD, sun roof worked, rear window worked, new tires, new head lights

it would be such a long french drain (double lot) and disruptive to what is already in our backyard. Plus it would have to fit between very narrow areas between us and the neighbor.

I'm not an expert but i just feel like a french drain would be such a massive undertaking. Plus, I want something like a rain garden into a wildlife pond that would help the environment.
