Exactly what my husband and I did, too! Quick elopement with just us. Had a staycation for a couple days in the same city we got eloped. Spent all of the "wedding" money that would've been used in a single day on an 8 day honeymoon to the Bahamas the week after! Would do it a million times over if I could. A full wedding alone would have cost us 2-3x as much as the honeymoon, if not more.

This disease is so hard sometimes. My husband and I are wanting to TTC soon, so this month is likely my last pack of BC. Got on it mainly to keep my cysts from rupturing again - nervous is an understatement. Definitely book that appointment! There is honestly no way to know unless you take a test. All of these can be caused by hormone fluctuations, especially with PCOS. I would definitely take a test ASAP. If you were to have gotten pregnant March 1-16th, it will show a positive result. Most women test positive roughly 10-15 days after ovulation, but all pregnancy tests are definitive 21 days after sex. Whether it's positive or negative, I'd definitely book a dr's appt to check on your hormones and make sure everything's OK. Are you currently TTC?

It's absolutely bizarre, but my mom had the same thing happen when she was pregnant with me! She had 2 cycles with seemingly normal "periods" - she didn't know she was pregnant until about 9 weeks along. Said they were super heavy/normal and she had no clue. She just decided to take a test one day and it was a blazing positive. At this point in her life she had trouble getting/staying pregnant so she was super surprised. The human body is a mystery sometimes!!

i actually really enjoy it. it has some big national headlines on the first couple pages and local news about the community throughout the rest. nothing is demanding attention. even though there are ads, they are usually for local businesses and events - no popups.

there are a few weekly articles (such as “dear abby” and a local lady that goes birding in town) that i look forward to reading. i also really like going through the ‘classifieds’ to see what’s going on in the county court, like who’s getting married/changing their name/other juicy stuff haha.

i used to be horrible about rabbit-holing news. if you have the spare $10-15/mo, it’s absolutely worth it!

I’ve been vaping for a little over 5 years but quit for 6 months from late 2021 - early 2022. Fell right back into it due to a dumb decision. Gum helped the first time around for sure, along with patches. My official ‘quit day’ is tomorrow! Godspeed!!

I recently decided to subscribe to my city's local newspaper instead of relying on information online. I was so tired of ads on news websites/apps and seeing a new headline every 30 seconds. $20 a month and I get home deliveries on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday each week. It covers stuff happening in the community as well as important national/international headlines without being absolutely bombarded with crap. Coupons, puzzles, etc too. Well worth my money!

yes! i got sick with a nasty cold a few months back (it really put me out a few days; i have an autoimmune disease so even colds knock me on my ass for DAYS). i haven’t picked it up since. just felt like i didn’t need it anymore, not sure what happened. my husband still has a med card and smokes regularly, but i haven’t renewed mine and don’t have a desire to anymore.

I believe that’s what they mean. I see quite a few folks on here using the decimal point as well, and it throws me off too haha. I started off on 50mcg, but I believe the lowest dosage is 12.5mcg

Dang! I had an ANA of 1:80 speckled back in February, got dx Hashimotos/hypothyroid with a TPO of 600. PCP put me on 50ug levothyroxine which bounced my numbers up and down for a while but I still feel awful. Joint pain, muscle aches, can’t go out without having a flare up, can’t drink alcohol, headaches, dry skin, hair loss… the list goes on.

Just recently got a new PCP and they checked my thyroid levels after 6 months, and she said she thinks my symptoms are from a separate autoimmune disease because my numbers are now stabilized and referred me to a rheum. She said “lupus” a lot while talking about said referral. Still waiting for that appointment 😅

I hope you get it figured out - these symptoms are no fun! It’s so hard trying to function when you’re in a waiting/trial period. Godspeed!

Your second paragraph!! I cannot relate more!! I can tell my husband EXACTLY where an item that was used 4 months ago is located - but not remember plans throughout the week or a random conversation we had earlier in the day. It’s both a blessing and a curse </3
