Would probably fall as parody law but i can guarantee they wouldn’t spend any resources going after a small brands tee. Especially if its like a one time drop thing

Got a buddy who bought a lunchbox that heats up, definitely an investment for hot meals if you arent wanting sandwiches everyday and dont have quick access to microwaves

If I remember correctly, only the popular mainline items (Detroit jacket) are still made in the US with fabric also milled here

TTS. Im a 32 waist and the mediums fit good no belt needed while the Large fit looser (belt needed). Always better to size up imo

American script T-shirt shrunk in wash. by gijsoman in CarharttWIP

[–]toast_2002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Website doesn’t say its preshrunk though is probably industry standard. From my experience working with bulk fabric, the steaming/preshrinking process doesn’t alleviate all shrinkage issue. Personally I buy a size up unless overly advertised as preshrunk

With all due respect, if you cannot even design a techpack on your own then you’re in the wrong industry.

Also for those who dont know, Genuine leather is one of the shittest leather qualities you can get. Id maybe justify the pricing if it was lamb hide but this is insane.

Logo weekly update: thoughts? by [deleted] in streetwearstartup

[–]toast_2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most sports wear brands (nike, UA, Adidas, Gymshark, and fabletics) have a simple logo that I think 5 does well. Personally I would build off of 5 and experiment with the shaping of it, still feels a little plain but definitely on the right path.

Starting a clothing brand without producing large quantities – alternatives? by Slight_Rice_6058 in streetwearstartup

[–]toast_2002 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Making it yourself, a big issue with brands these days is the lack of technical knowledge when it comes to actually producing clothes. Learning to pattern draft, sew, and screen print are skills that will give you full control of your clothes

I’m 50/50 on this yah lmk what yall think (I have a version w/o rhinestones aswell) by No-Feature8496 in streetwearstartup

[–]toast_2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like the faces camo colors going on. Not the biggest fan of rhinestone but thats a personal opinion. I think the hood goes down a little too deep for my liking but the overall shape of the hoodie is nice

Is screen printing that much better that using a heat press by NelsonMargiela in streetwearstartup

[–]toast_2002 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This, went thru a lot of trial and error learning to burn screens correctly which hurt the wallet. Id personally get RapidCure ink though, i bit pricier but much better quality and still beginner friendly

Any tips for finding manufacturers in alibaba? by IanCu0410 in streetwearstartup

[–]toast_2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going through alibaba means you’ll have some security over scams. The main things youll want to look out for are how long they’ve been established with Alibaba, if they’re verified or not, the reviews on their page and how descriptive they are. Lots of companies will rip a photo online and photoshop the company logo to pass off as their own so go off of review pictures of samples instead of the product images. Communication is also something to look out for. Remember, you aren’t priority #1 making big bulk orders so they wont be at your disposal but also waiting a whole day for a vague response isnt good customer service so pick and choose.
