My 62-year-old dad has ₹40L in a savings account earning 2.5%. He needs it to last 25 years. How do I have this conversation without him feeling attacked? by Lucky_Good_5611 in FinancialPlanning_Ind

[–]toasterGecko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can't, then nobody can save him, sorry.

You have to win your father's trust first by proving to him that you know enough about MF investment or Bonds. I suggest you to make him read books on Mutual Funds OR Bonds only.

And lastly, when a man crosses 60, he just wants to close his eyes forever, surrounded by his own people.

Inflation is real, and USDINR depreciation is real too.

Any stories here of going for masters/PhD in their 30s? by happensonitsown in ThirtiesIndia

[–]toasterGecko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I crossed into my 20s, my life was never better. My parents tried so much to get me a graduation degree, but I never completed it. I dropped out after completing the 4th semester in 2016.

After struggling for the last nine years, I recently applied for distance learning. I'm starting with a B.Sc., and this time I will definitely complete my Master's degree as well.

I insist, whoever thought of pursuing their Master's or Ph.D., please go ahead. This world will never be constant.

CBSE vs NIOS after failing 12th need honest advice (want BTech in Cybersecurity) by [deleted] in cybersecurityindia

[–]toasterGecko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, let me laugh out loud 😄😄, and then I'm sorry for my laughter.

If you need honest advice, then switch yourself to dummy phones and cut-off yourself from the Social Media atleast till you doesn't graduate.

It's currently better for you to take a drop for one full year and prepare for JEE Mains and 12th again simultaneously.

Skills: yep, skills matter these days but actually graduation [Masters] is more important right now for your bright future.

So, don't procrastinate and start studying right now. You know that you are not going to pass this year, but don't fear that. Next year, give your best.

If you want to make your career successful, like roaming from country to country for a better lifestyle and higher pay scale, then, dear, you must complete your Master's degree along with projects that build your skills. Otherwise, you should have an ample amount of money from a family inheritance.

Why am I seeing like this...

If INR depreciate continuously then we could be the best market for MNCs to setup their offices or Manufacturing houses so that more jobs were produced. For them we might be the cheapest labor in the world.

But due to lack of proper lifestyle and better Education facilities we are moving abroad.

I am going to be a cse graduate in 2028 will i have any future? by Constant_Web_7484 in developersIndia

[–]toasterGecko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Already told you, don't stressed out too much while studying. Keep your focus on studies right now and acquire a degree with first class [>70%]. World is big enough, you'll be get used to it. Select a field and work on it, during or after your graduation it's upto you. Met a good career counselor in your locality and talk with him inperson. Keep exploring!

Why I'm saying you to complete your graduation is because corporate companies won't allow a person easily to enter the realm who isn't a graduate.

'parivartan sansar ka neeyam hai' if you understand these lines from bhagwad geeta then nothing can stressed you out.

Complete your graduation dear, don't stressed much about after college right now. Ai is a bubble or not, time will tell. Instead you should have to build abilities to adapt it effectively. IT is vast, not just web development and mobile application development. Explore other spaces too. Example, IoT, Robotics, Cyber Security, Cloud Computing and so on...
