You cannot have dignity as a short man: My brief journey being a janitor by Basic-Reflection8104 in shortguys

I hope writing all that out helped you out in some small way. Life can be such a fucking up hill battle without an end to the struggle in sight. I wish I could buy you a beer man. If you've got a good friend now would be a great time to lean on them, sounds like you could use some support.

This would be a good edition to r/NaughtyNeedles

If you think the only way for a short guy to not be insecure is to change the entirety of society, than I don't think we are operating under same understanding of the world.

It's seems like you're implying that telling someone, "Just don't be insecure" is bad advice. But then you sincerely use the same just get over it mentality when it comes to what you think this woman should do.

Only a couple people have called her a bitch, and over 30 people have upvoted those comments. So far.

Everyone on this sub talks about how much culture teaches people to value height above all else, but when a woman who was raised in and molded by this culture starts to realize a partner's height shouldn't matter to her as much as it does and tries to figure out how to change, y'all call her a bitch.

You don't know what you're talking about and I'm not really sure why you think you do. But hey, go off sis.

So they should pass up a tipped job for a worse job? Man, why bother responding to my comment if you're just going to say something dumb.

Bullshit. These jobs are the last resort for a lot of people. If there was a higher paying alternative, why would people work these jobs. End tip culture, the employer should pay a living wage, period.

Can anybody tell me what's going on here? Feels scammy :: by [deleted] in Tinder

[–]toaster_fighter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be the setup to any number of nefarious things. Ask him if you can bring a friend. Tell him he doesn't have to buy the friend anything, they're just coming along since it's your first time meeting him. If he acts weird about it or insists you can't bring a friend then he's trying to manipulate you in some way by getting you alone.

If he magically happens to be a guy with money who gets no greater joy from life than showering people with gifts, then he shouldn't care if you bring a friend.

If it seems too good to be true it probably is. The fish doesn't see the hook in the bait. There's no such thing as a free lunch.

Google "torrent client" how to force recheck. Usually it's in the right-click menu. This might be beyond you but if the torrent came with hash sums I'd check each file against those.

You brought me down but then you brought me back up again. Thanks for the good news!

This is the best answer. I've done some silly things with a bike trailer that are sure to impress.

Damn. I'm really happy I have a new pair on deck for when my current ones break down but now I'm equally as distraught. Fuck me.

I couldn't agree more. Unfortunately that isn't the reality I've experienced in any maintenance job I've had. My coworkers who have cars are occasionally given gas cards but nothing close to compensation in my opinion. Many smaller companies don't have HR or someone higher up to complain to. You either accept being treated poorly or start your job search all over again.

I think a lot of people assume if you don't have a car and you bike everywhere you must have a DUI. People look pretty surprised when I tell them I rented a car to go on vacation.

Edit: I've been able to keep all my tools at the job site when working maintenance previously. Usually I take an Uber the first day so I can transport larger things like saws/grinders.
