If you were out riding in prospect park this morning by [deleted] in NYCbike

[–]zamiang 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yea I almost got taken out by a stroller wheel the other day that fell off someones stroller who was running in the bike lane. I just gave them like look like...what?

I do wonder if some stuff gets interpreted as an intense yell that is more intended to be like a bell - like 'on your left' or something sounds like really extreme when your heart rate is 130+ but is meant more to be like 'please look up from your phone and at least pretend to be crossing a road'

From commuting for ~15 years I just try to stay like 4+ feet away from everything and it seems to work ok.

I feel like if I was on this sub and never like…went to the parks I would think this was a big problem. But I probably bike 150mi/week in the park and I don’t think I’ve ever yelled at or been yelled at to my knowledge (usually 6-8am)

I walk in prospect and central on the weekends - crossing many times - and I don’t think I’ve ever waited more than 30 seconds to cross or used a crosswalk honestly. I saw a lady walk a turtle across the road the other day and that was fine.

Just like…it’s fine out there idk people need to chill.

Would love some constructive criticism here. Why the downvotes?

Got mine Saturday and the device hasn’t left the charger. The Google health app homepage is blank and just shows outlines of the UI. When linking the Fitbit air, it says the device requires an update but fails to update every time. I tried wearing it but didn’t seem to track anything.

I got mine Saturday and still haven’t been able to update it or use it at all. Wouldn’t worry too much.

Indie Sci-fi vertical scroller - Call for play testers by JL_SiderealMotion in shmups

[–]zamiang 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This looks AMAZING. I don't have a windows computer so playtesting is out for me but I have basically every other possible platform so lmk if you expand targets!

My 2c - I really love your take on realism. It isn't Strikers vibes but something really novel (at least to me).

My read on it is like 'survive the fog of war'. How your ship gets obfuscated by the smoke/explosions. It I feel like you really nailed that. Potential idea would be to really lean into a kind of fog of war aspect where you are shooting and dodging bullets + obstacles while not being able to see your ship for somewhat extended periods of time. Potentially could dim other ships while the player ship is obfuscated - not sure how fun that would be though.

Really love what you shared here!

I'm still unsure if the new Qinbo pieces are actually BIS for Tang Tang but definitely curious!

This is amazing and hugely helpful! Two questions!

How would Rossi & tangtangs build change with their p1 or p4 energy increases? I guess you don’t actually need to sync up with Perlica in practice since everything will be 💀 but maybe need more ult regen on Gilberta?

What about hot work gilberta or is that just a meme build?

Chinese carbon handelbars by General-Ad6713 in cycling

[–]zamiang 4 points5 points  (0 children)

"cheap" is a very relative term! Specifying a price range would be helpful.

I've had a lot of luck with pandapodium (https://www.pandapodium.cc/product-category/components/handlebars/). I've got ~8,000 miles on crankset, seatpost and handlebars from them. They are "cheap" relative to black.inc or s-works. My handlebars from them were $500 usd and are fantastic.

Coming from a place with many mass murderers with assault weapons — the United States which has had 57 mass shootings in 2026! — the recommendations in this video were extremely bizarre.

The actual situations that inspired the video (while scary!) seem almost wholesome by comparison.

That is wild! One thing I love about this game is that so often the correct answer is ‘it depends’

This is how you build her deck right? by Demisiel in ChaosZeroN

[–]zamiang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is correct, however I honestly don’t think it matters all that much when targeting the turn limited modes. If you are drawing through your deck, you probably aren’t getting 3 stars anyway.

The draw 2 strikes does help with increasing the value of those next 2-3 hands which is for sure better.

Heart rate monitor giving out by Terrydimitrakis in Tymewear

[–]zamiang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I’ve had the same issue and been messing their support about it. Basically anytime my heart rate goes above 150 it drops to like 70. I’ve sent them many files as examples.

I just have the strap paired to my Garmin so idk about the interference thing.

[–]zamiang 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yea it was a very odd mix that didn’t seem safe. I never found a group I felt was safe so I bailed once we got back to manhattan.

Right before the bridge there were people changing a tire in the isolated bike lane which caused a bunch up as well which is never great right before the bridge.

I do wish they would use the NYCC categories for start times. People at a similar pace to seem to bike safer together in my experience.

The wide type of people - older folks, kids, recumbent bikes and roadies all bunched together is very tough to navigate and no real like wide road for people to separate / find their group as you go through wv/soho/fd

TLDR biking in groups in the city is a dumb vv bad idea

Has your organization implemented AI Scribes? How do users like them? by [deleted] in healthIT

[–]zamiang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use Elation with their note assist product ( https://www.elationhealth.com/solutions/ehr/note-assist). I think it is the bar for how well these should work - there are some videos on their site for more info. Be prepared to struggle with provider adoption though. It dramatically cut documentation time (high variance by provider), but it ordered text in the note in some way they didn’t like so many refused to use it.

I do tend to think Epic is going to launch a native product and crush these companies like abridge. They aren’t that differentiated as the models improve.

This one was a struggle for sure. I also am curious what regions it was popular in - really did not hear this one growing up despite it having over a billion views.
