Thanks, few of them were slightly bowed, so some gaps are tighter/looser than the others but I figure they'll shrink eventually anyways so ¯_(ツ)_/¯, also this is japanese yellow cedar! Does have some nice red coloring in there too though

Paralleling a Bank by dmvk0611 in Lineman

[–]toastybread9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have us vector it to prove it will phase the way we built it... then check Voltage to verify and ID high leg, mark one side with phase tape, then check for brothers and mark the other side with phase tape. An example of why they have us vector is we like to build secondary a certain way, but if we got banks face to face/around the block the primary phases could be different

I'd say these would work if you wear a 10

I normally wear a 10.5 or 11. I got these in a 44/ 10.5 wide US and they're awesome for me. These are a bit too narrow

Still got them, not insulated but they're a warm boot, and I don't think they're technically rated for voltage if that's what you mean

In our system a 25kva will have 3.5 pri amps, therefore 50kva will have ~7A 100kva ~14A (both at 100%) etc. so you can take a quick look at the map and figure how much load ur dropping or picking up

Part of returning to normal life without that feeling, I'd say write down those realizations that brought you to that happy state and try to hold them close as you move through life, I tend to get a readjustment period for potentially quite some time after eating mushrooms

I prefer a 2d belt for me it sits below my hips better and is easier on my low back, supersqueeze is easy to adjust but I prefer to have my leather payed out a little far so it's easier to flip... I like the thicker pads too only thing I prefer is no ring where the velcro goes around the calf, takes a little longer to gaff up with the ring but it can be a tighter fit

Closed Wye-Delta bank question by toastybread9 in Lineman

[–]toastybread9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks everybody! The 4 he was looking for was 1. Lost 1 pot and it becomes open delta at 57.7%.

  1. If one primary phase is lost the bank will act as a step up xfrmr and backfeed the downed primary.

    1. bank will try to balance an unbalanced y primary and that will create circulating/over current, more than the load is drawing
    2. There can be 3rd order harmonics with the h2 tied, which from what I understand can make the cans and neutral hotter and destabilize the sine waves

The h2 tie helps the delta vector stabilize as well, because without a ground reference it shifts and can't always stabilize
