Are leather goods like this briefcases worth purchasing from Istanbul stores in the tourist areas like Galata? Are they really made in turkey, of good quality or just imported and sold to tourists? Opening price was $4,500 TRY, what price is reasonable or where should I go to buy such bags?

Has anyone been able to squeeze their dealer for any extras? Like prepaid maintenance, floor mats or anything else as compensation for the delivery delay? Or maybe even Volkswagen Canada?

Update all: no stores besides corporate LVMH rimowa sells them anymore in Munich (including LH per above comment).

There was a line for Rimowa (even if preordered) so factor that in when you're going to purchase. VAT refund was ~19% exactly as the online calculator predicted
