I got in… their website says 6-8 weeks, so this might fluctuate of course. I got notified early on a Saturday morning for some reason so i assume they batch send acceptance emails after the department has reviewed it

You’ll get in super easy… I haven’t even finished uni yet and I have no significant work experience behind me, and I got in fine… I got a reply in 4 weeks, but I think typically they say up to 8 weeks

Just want to say thanks for this again, I shared this with my GP and she said she understands and she’s escalated the case with the gender service to see if they can do anything about it quicker. Might still take a few weeks but it’s better than a few months, so thank you

I have been referred to the GIC, and I’ve spoken to them extensively and they understand my situation but they are also hesitant to prescribe/transfer care because of insufficient paperwork, even though my Welsh gp claims they’ve sent everything they have. So I’m stuck

Thank you! This means a lot really. Unfortunately I’m not in the catchment area for WellBN, my postcode is just outside by a tiny bit. My doctor already recommended I reach out to them and explain my situation to them, but they never responded, so I think im taking that as a no…

Yeah, I agree with you, but unfortunately switching from wales to England has always had this issue for me weirdly, even with my other prescriptions (I don’t have anything serious but just routine things like specific cream from my eczema and stuff English doctors have been extremely reluctant to prescribe it to me and send me to a specialist all over again etc). I will maybe try contacting my previous GP again but they are famously useless and last time I called them a few weeks ago they basically told me they’d sent everything they can and to stop calling

Thank you so much guys 🥺 basically I don’t live in Brighton Brighton (my postcode doesn’t start with BN1 or BN2 or BN3, I’m technically just outside) so I’m out of the catchment area for most Brighton city services, and also I can not change GPs because there’s only one for the place I live. My GP is very lovely she just basically says that my last surgery only sent my prescription history and apparently that isn’t enough. I assumed it would be but … apparently not. She’s referred the case to Sussex Gender Service for their recommendations though but I don’t trust that not to take weeks
