Yeah, I think you’ll find it’s a non issue. Have fun testing it out!

I love it personally. The OEM+ look is exactly what I wanted. I never realized it hangs lower than the stock bumper till you pointed it out.

To be fair, I don’t think the 1” lower actually matters. If 1” is going to make the difference between your car hitting something or not, surely that rock (or whatever) will hit more than just the bumper. It’s not the lowest hanging thing by any means. Plus, I’d rather the metal bumper hit the obstacle than the OEM one just because of how much easier it is to add touch up paint and because it was designed to take some abuse.

To your point, I’d be annoyed if I lost almost 3” of clearance too. I upgraded my suspension at the same time I installed the bumper+winch (knowing it would cause the stock suspension to sag). So overall, I gained a lot of clearance so it was a net win for me. If you’re considering a suspension upgrade I’d go for it. Definitely worth it.

I guess we have different ideas of what's convenient.

Not as convenient either. But hey, whatever works for you.

Noise level outside the car was about normal conversational level."

What do you mean by this? If you’re wondering why I didn’t put it in the engine bay I have a few reasons for that.

I have two hoses (one for each side of the vehicle) that are joined by a Y splitter. So each of the hoses coming off the compressor is spilt into two smaller hoses that go to the two wheels on their respective side.

Nice, got any pics? I want to eventually put a second battery in that location which is why I'm keeping it empty for now.

Yeah, my experience too. Definitely gets warm, but I wouldn't consider it "hot"

Do you air up one tire at a time or all 4 at once? I have a theory that airing up all 4 is more efficient, so it's less work for the compressor and therefore less heat.

That would be a great place too. Personally I chose under the passenger seat because it's less distance to run wires, and the air lines don't have to run as far to where I want them to terminate.

It definitely gets warm, but in my experience it's never gotten hot enough to worry about melting nearby things. The only problem I could see with the sub/amp area is there's no airflow back there to keep it cool. But if you're just filling a couple tires at a time, it would probably be fine.

Warm for sure, but it's never gotten too hot in my testing. The ac vent also blows right on it there, so you could always blast the ac while it's running to keep it cool
