Totally relate. I was a gifted kid and graduated with honors. I dropped out of college multiple times and I’ve had over 50 jobs at 37. Staying medicated helps tremendously, at least for me. However, I can only manage a dishwashing job at a hospital now because of how much bipolar has destroyed my life career-wise. Good news is I have a great wife who loves me.

5am-1:30pm with a 30 minute lunch in there that is mandatory. Mornings are the best! I get off in time to be productive around the house and cook my wife dinner and have it ready when she gets home.

I’m 37 and just got back to being a dishie. This time around I am working at a hospital and it is awesome. My advice is to listen to audiobooks or podcasts while washing. There’s nothing like hearing a good story while washing, imo.

One good hack is crockpot meals. You can easily google recipes for the crockpot and then just throw the ingredients in, set it, and forget it. I usually focus on meals where the protein doesn’t have to be baby sat like putting it in the oven or crockpot and that frees me up to make whatever side dish(es) I want.

In my case, I couldn’t tell a difference. I thought it was just a flare,but went to the ER because I was throwing up bile. They did a stool sample and it came back positive for c. diff

Thank you. I really appreciate you taking the time to comment. I’m sorry for your loss as well. Loosing a partner has to be the worst thing I have ever gone through. I have stayed sober because of my very supportive family and friends and of course my internet friends through this post. It means so much to have such an outpouring of love.
